The Lakers are his team anyway in a couple years and the Lakers are you know, the Lakers.

I agree but it seems he truly detests playing in the same limelight as Shaq.

On another note, did you happen to catch the first part of the telecast when they TNT was having technical difficulties...the got back on after a minute or two and Barkley said, "It's hard to get power when you're in the middle of nowhere." I love Barkely. ROFL

Barkley is a classic, and the Wolves crowd was indeed subdued.

Could he just be trying to get more money out of the Lakers, you think? Kobe is stupid if he leaves the Lakers. He isn't MJ. He can't make everyone around him better. He's best to stay put and win a couple more rings before Shaq retires.

Thats not it he gets all he can get as it is so money is not the issue, in fact unless he can work out a sign and trade deal he will have to take considerably less with anyone else because of league salary rules.

What, he wasn't making players better around him tonight? He isn't exactly low in assists with over a 400 a year average over the last 3 years. He plays great D too. Kobe is the best player in the league. When his career is over he may well exceed the achievments of Jordon.

I don't think Kobe or any player will ever be better than Jordan, but I have been wrong before.

Ever's along time bro, it just might be around the corner. Another title may well change his mind. It's great being a Laker.

I hope he stays. It wouldn't be the same without those two on the same team (Shaq and Kobe). Hopefully Kobe realizes that. They've been through some tough times, but it would be tougher for the both of them if one would happen to leave. I'd put my ego aside for the team and the major abundance of rings I'd be winning.

I think Kobe might very well be the best player in the league right now, but if MJ had Shaq at center like Kobe does, MJ would have 10-11 rings....

That said I'm not sure MJ or Kobe are as good of an all-around offensive player as Magic and Bird were...

MJ was better all-around than Magic and Bird. Both offense and defense. MJ did it on both sides better than those two, but that's JMO. No one can and probably ever will touch MJ's greatness. It was an honor to see him. Truly.

Do you still have his poster above your bed? ROFL
