This.

If you're trying to lay this loss at the feet of Crennel & the defense then you should just go kill yourself for being that ****ing stupid.

What does it matter, anyways? Half your team will be in jail by next season...

The Bad Guy 12-24-2011 03:22 PM

Well at least Reerun has another whipping boy at HC. Now if he's hired, he can go back to being the miserable dickbag he's been pretending not to be these 3 years.

The defense gave up 2 big plays. That's it. 2.

Get some ****ing perspective, please.

There are a lot of negatives to hiring him, but today isn't going to be some nail in the coffin.

What about traditional preparation areas that are typically under the purview of the head coach? The Chiefs were sloppy, unorganized, and heavily penalized. That's on Romeo, at least in large part.

DBOSHO 12-24-2011 03:22 PM

Im already over it. Denver and oakland will get ****ed in the playoffs if either one makes it. Cant wait till next august.

RINGLEADER 12-24-2011 03:22 PM

And Detroit takes the lead on San Diego.

Titty Meat 12-24-2011 03:23 PM

This one hurts as bad as the Nebraska/Texas Big XII title games a few years ago. I'm going to go into my shell Christmas is ruined.

Work in progress.

Who woulda thought this team could exceed 400 yards of offense in consecutive weeks?

So...Mods...can we get draft planet up now?

He has his faults. I'm just saying that there's no way he's going to be judged solely on a game where his defense gave up 16 points.

Yep.

By my count the special teams cost us 9 points (two blocked FGs and the long return) and Orton at least 3 (it would be 7 if you give the Bowe drop an assist). So that's a net 12-16 points that we left on the field.

DuhChiefs 12-24-2011 03:24 PM

Never thought I would ever say this but C'MON Chargers!!!

Trevo_410 12-24-2011 03:24 PM

season is officially over... I should be happy after the year we've had but I'm ****ing pissed at how we played this game... specifically on special teams and red zone offense...

Titty Meat 12-24-2011 03:24 PM

You know we'll destroy the Broncos next week, paving the way for the Raiders to win the division that was a field goal away from being ours.

Better to get it out of the way. I'd rather have this then get jimmy kicked next Sunday in Denver.

The play calling was horrendous. We run the ball 3 times in the red zone early in the game when we absolutely have to try to get a TD. This team has to overcome the red zone problem and you don't solve it by ignoring it, THROW SOME ****ING FADE ROUTES!!! Then we go for it on 4th later which completely contradicts this conservative bullshit. :banghead:

Bro, its simply not that easy as 'just pass some fades' you have to take in everything, muirs underwear have to fit just right or were gonna be fussy. the weather has to hit hiis whistle just right, theres just so much that goes into his playcalling. muirs offense isnt that easy.

kcxiv 12-24-2011 03:32 PM

what an epic **** up Detroit is about to score again. haha

Can't judge much from this game. This was one of those games when the officials just took over the whole scene. One "call" going to either side would have determined the outcome.

TimeForWasp 12-24-2011 03:35 PM

I was so excited until the Faiders won the toss. Then I had a bad feeling. Wish they would change the OT rules for the Regular season too.

Mr. Laz 12-24-2011 03:36 PM

Special teams

big kick return to start game - 3 pts
blocked field goal - (-3pts)
blocked field goal - (-3pts)

9 pt difference in a 3 point loss = Steve Hoffman fired

scho63 12-24-2011 03:47 PM

How do the Raiders keep pounding us in KC?

Titty Meat 12-24-2011 04:04 PM

17-0 Lions. Wow just wow.

Priest31kc 12-24-2011 04:06 PM

Unbelievable. Next week's game would have been huge, probably on Sunday Night Football for the AFC West title. And we blow it. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Window Licking Whiner 12-24-2011 04:09 PM

It's official, GOD hates the Chiefs.

Everything went right for us..except for the game that we were playing in.

Special Teams is the ****ing worst in the history of the Human Species. YOu let them block two ****ing fg's? We should all chip in for some swords to let those ****ers fall on, cause they absolutely cost us the Playoffs.

Why oh why couldnt I be born somewhere else...****. 31 years, and nothing...yet another year of watching us **** a goat while other teams win superbowls.

I knew we were cursed the instant I saw the Bills killing the Broncos and the Lions killing the Chargers at the end of the game. I knew somehow they'd lose.

Cursed until proven otherwise.

Because of the teams and the markets it will definitely be Cowboys vs Giants -- but yeah, it would have been a fun game with all the storylines.

Too bad Orton threw an INT in the endzone, the special teams gave up a long return on the opening kick-off, allowed two blocked field goals...pissed that game away just like we always do to the Raiders in KC...

GloryDayz 12-24-2011 04:49 PM

Now that I'm home from the game... There's $200 I'll never get back...

Meh!!

The bad news, the Chiefs are on TV again tomorrow (NFL Network for those of you who get it!) so the NFL can make sure we have yet another dagger put into our hearts for Christmas!

Not to worry for ownership, Clark will be in Fiji counting his under-the-cap loot by then!! Plus, he'd just blame his father for that loss!!

We are Chiefs nation!!!

Frazod 12-24-2011 05:07 PM

Damn, I didn't even think about the game being on today. Was doing Christmas stuff with my Goddaughter.

Seems like I lucked out.

1. It's Saturday.

2. It's Christmas Eve.

3. Blow me.

Chiefnj2 12-24-2011 05:30 PM

My thoughts from watching the game on NFL Red Zone.

1. This is why Orton isn't a viable QBOTF. Same as Cassel.
2. Special teams has gone to crap.
3. Should have gone for two. Go for the win - you don't want to play a tight game with Janikowski.
4. KC can use an upgrade at FS.
5. You give up whatever you need to draft RGIII.

There is no law preventing you from switching your loyalties to a different team than the one geographically closest to where you were born. It may even be easier than whining.

The loss to me is pinned on safety play. Our safeties gave up two enormous plays. Granted, we're on about our fourth string by now, but the TD and the overtime pass were both flat out on the safeties - Langford and Lewis.

And if I'm remembering right, Sabby Piscatelli was the guy who wasn't fast enough to stop McCann from getting outside of him on the opening, 91-yard kickoff return.
