Another RISP and nothing to show for it.

So far, nothing to be optimistic about. The Giants are executing with base hits and productive outs and the ****ing dickheads from the midwest are striking out and flying out harmlessly.

Cain is missing his spots a lot, but the entire Cards lineup can't do shit with anything. Lohse makes a mistake (albeit a bad mistake) to the ****ing pitcher and the ball is scalded up the middle for an RBI.

O.city 10-22-2012 07:07 PM

Then we do center one and its right at someone

Epic choke job here guys. Mentally fragile

yep, their pitcher is making us pay for mistake pitches and we keep fouling off Cain's pitches.

He's just hot. That home run he hit was a foot inside and high.

jd1020 10-22-2012 07:10 PM

Bout to see how many of the 9 lives the Cards have used up.

O.city 10-22-2012 07:11 PM

Talking bout scutaro

Swanman 10-22-2012 07:11 PM

This is crazy, but this is Game ****ing 7 and I am half-tempted to turn the ****ing game off. We saw this in Games 5 and 6 and both games ended the same. This doesn't have the feel of Game 5 in Washington because the opponent doesn't have GioJaime GonzalezGarcia on the mound. This Giants team plays good sound baseball and does not make mistakes/fail to take advantage of RISP with no outs.

Nothing like 2 innings from your so-called ace.

O.city 10-22-2012 07:14 PM

Their ace has been equally as bad and we have shit to show for it

jd1020 10-22-2012 07:17 PM

WTF was Kozma doing?

Then that clears the bases and it doesn't even get to the wall... embarrassing.

siberian khatru 10-22-2012 07:17 PM

Kozma turned a double play ball into a 3 run error

BigRedChief 10-22-2012 07:18 PM

WTF Kozma goes the wrong way on a line drive? How the **** does that happen? He stays at home thats a double play.

KC_Connection 10-22-2012 07:18 PM

Kozma and Jay ****ed up on the same play. That probably could have and should have been a DP. Instead, this game is basically over (although that's been said before with this team).

O.city 10-22-2012 07:19 PM

Easy double play there. Wtf was kozma doing

Ya it should have been a DP and a Giant lead of 3-0.
Instead its probably game over.

jd1020 10-22-2012 07:20 PM

Kozma obviously put his entire life savings on the Giants.

LiL stumppy 10-22-2012 07:20 PM

Lohse dont care. He gettin paid next year

kcxiv 10-22-2012 07:21 PM

damn, the one team i didnt want to win and they are winning. ughh, Cardinals had this 3-1 and i doubt they come back from this in S.F. :( this makes me sad. very very sad.

Teams pay a huge premium for pitchers that don't shit their pants in Game 7's. Now he is just another above average pitcher.

BigRedChief 10-22-2012 07:24 PM

Even their infield crap hits are causing runs.

chefsos 10-22-2012 07:25 PM

Oh, wow. That ball broke Pence's bat and he hit it twice. Maybe that's what got Kozma geeked out. Not that it matters now.

Swanman 10-22-2012 07:25 PM

I think the horseshoe has officially been removed. Having watched most of the games this year, this was a flawed team in many ways, and along with all the injuries, we are seeing all that come back to bite us.

If you look up and down the lineup at this point, most of the guys are completely useless, especially the last three games. As for the Giants, 1-8 are dangerous and playing their best baseball, except for Posey and Pence. The Cardinals demeanor throughout this game so far show me that they shouldn't have even put their uniforms on. They were beat the second the Giants won game 5.

kcpasco 10-22-2012 07:26 PM

Someone should tell Kozma that bieng down 3-0 in the 3rd isn't that bad.
His bonehead error just cost the game.

He is a career .220 hitter filling in for an injury. He's been doing great until this series. Guess the pressure is getting to him.

Lohse is a veteran and Kozma is a rookie that would not be in the lineup except for a season-ending injury. Lohse flat out sucked. He threw a ball to Cain that would have been more effective had he put in on a t for him. Kozma played bad today but the entire lineup has been flat out awful the last three games.

Al Bundy 10-22-2012 07:34 PM

Cardinals lucky it isn't 10-0 after that.

Kozma single handedly has at least 4 runs tied to his name.

Bases cleared on what should have been a double play and only resulting in 1 run but instead 3 scored.

Went home when he should have gone to first.

Botched another easy DP buy tossing over Descalso's(sp?) head.

This organization sure has a knack for blowing 3-1 series leads, 3-2 series leads and going full reerun in Game 7's.

1996, 1987 and 1985 come to mind immediately.

jd1020 10-22-2012 07:38 PM

Even with a 7 run lead, Cain has to be on a short leash given the last 2 years of Cardinals postseason.

yeah, he had performed before this series. He's only in there due to an injury. It's not his fault he went from the minors to a pennant race and the playoffs. We really cant expect him to perform like a 10 year vet.

You guys have really low expectations for rookies if you aren't upset that they **** up the basic fundamentals/routine plays that they've been working on since highschool.

Who gives a shit?

DJ is absolutely right. Forget expectations in April. When you're up 3 games to 1 in the NLCS and you DON'T play in the World Series, you ****ing failed.

Shit like, "did anyone think..." is nothing more than rationalization.

I wonder if TLR would have started Lynn in game 5. It was obvious he was physically and mentally wore out. He may have gone with a bullpen game, starting Kelly and hoping to get 6 innings out of him and Rosie.

O.city 10-22-2012 08:17 PM

Ya Lynn hitting into the DP and then makin the error the next inning really gave life back to the Giants.

Swanman 10-22-2012 08:20 PM

Maybe my anger is displaced a bit, but is it time they looked hard at whether McGwire is right for the job? I am sick of this feast or famine bullshit. At this point Freese or Craig would try to pull the ball if they were getting intentionally walked.

O.city 10-22-2012 08:21 PM

If Berk retires, I'd think about bringing him in for some kind of role, maybe hitting oach.

McGwire does have a serious problem with his strategy in that he attacks pitches to the middle and out, but that's hard to do when pitchers go in. Once the Giants discovered this, it was blood in the water.
