I like Alex Smith. There have been a shit ton of lies and bullshit spread over this forum since I have been here about him. And almost to a T, I explained what he was, what he wasn't, what he would do, how the Chiefs defense would play, and about how the coaching would make a difference. I never have said he was all world, or great. But people dissing him for his yardage? The Chiefs had phenomenal field position all day long. Their defense didn't allow the Jags into their side of the field until the fourth quarter. Alex Smith didn't have to do anything special, but he was super efficient, and made plays when they were there to be made...... Why don't you lecture Clay for continuing to spout his bullshit over and over. Im just telling the truth. |

I agree, Alex Smith sucks because his defense destroyed the Jags today. |

Alex did a nice job not ****ing up the game today. To praise him for that is going a bit far. He'll need to play much better if we're to beat Dallas. |

It wasn't anything close to top QB play. |

The defense, did what was necessary today. next week, yes, the offense will have to show more. But for you to downgrade Alex's performance today because of what his teammates did around him is goofy. You are penalizing him because of who they played and a game that was over at half time. That seems quite weird to me. But expected. |

That was his third read and a throw only where Hemmingway could get it, and get his feet inbounds. And I tried explaining this to you about the 2011 season. This is exactly how the 49ers went 13-3. This same exact types of play. But your retort to me was this. "The Chiefs don't have a top 5 defense to rely on." Uh, you sure about that? |

My worst fears have been realized. The downfield component of this offense is a joke. Now that our 5th preseason game is over, it's going to hurt us. |
Someone tell the Pats, indy, and pitt they were supposed to roll inferior teams today. Especially the case in that boob haleys offense.
|
Kapernick over 400 yards passing. I'm sure San Fran is missing Alex Smith.

30somthing going on 13.
Attention Whore, extraordinare! |

Alex may not have 400 yards after next week's game. |

although, I think alex probably can break 127 yards next week. |

Alex is so cool, he don't need no stinking 400 yards. SF, however, desperately did have to keep airing it out to keep the Pack at bay.

Kaepernick averaged over 10 yards per attempt. |

I'm beginning to think the Pats in Buffalo is rarely easy pickings.

So, when we were hammering them by 26 points, was Alex supposed to air it out? Just to please the morons here?

I am pro Smith but I can't make a case for Smith at $8,000,000 vs. Kaepernick at $1,500,000 The NFL is a hard cap and that is the difference to afford a super solid vet WR like Boldin. |

Then you change the equation and state your opinion on that. Who cares what a random few say. If you have something to say, say it. If you have a question ask it. Arguing from outlier bullet points is reeruned. Mike Mayock had Gabbert as his #1 QB prospect in 2011. |

Also, I think that Kaep is a little better suited to run the offense that Jim wants. Alex is more fit to run the type that Andy wants. Win win. Both teams will win this year. |

Eli with a pick 6 on his first pass... Romo checks it down underneath for a 3rd and 7 failed conversion. So impressed.

I've let go of Alice smith because we have a real quarterback in SF. You have not let go of the fact that Alice is no longer the starter in SF. You and Mac-Alice-ass licker still secretly want Alice as the starter in SF. |

You do realize your on a Chief's message board don't you Alice? Another question: shouldn't all men from San Fran have chick names ? |
Quote:

Alex is a much better fit in an andy reid style offense. Its a win win. I don't go secretly about anything. Im very honest. And if you know me from the 49ers board, you would know that. |
