I'll now be making double what I was getting paid when I got laid off in 2019. The three jobs I've had since then were +$16K, +$15K, and +$25K jumps. Plus this will be my first fully remote job. It's pretty great.

Which wasn’t good because almost every day is a bad day at work because I can’t stand the field I’m in /hate it with a passion .

I wish KS would get their shit together and legalize it I’m 100%believer now after only experiencing the benefits of the hemp derived deltas.
I haven't gone through KS but I have crossed state lines several times. I don't think it's a big deal at all.

For sure, eventually. Wife went off her depression meds (said she was tired or not feeling anything) and made the switch to homemade gummies. It's still a little bumpy at times, but when I hear, "The gummies are kicking in," I know it's smiles and laughs coming my way.

Smoking right now, this second, Fruit Spirit. Too many strains in jars to list them all, but just harvested Mango Lassi, Peach Sherbet, Purple Banana Cream. a THC/CBD 1:1, and Super Lemon Haze. Whoever pointed out earlier the dominance of fruit strains (these were all freebies) got it right on. Moved Sour Diesel, Gorilla Glue, and Laughing Buddha into the Bloom tent yesterday.

My wife doesn't have an Iowa card because she doesn't want to deal with the red tape. She buys recreational in IL. She said it's one of the few things that has actually worked for her and she's had idiopathic pain for almost 20 years. I mean I don't want to hype it up too much, since I'm obviously a consumer myself but it really seems to be a catch-all in my experience. There's very few ailments that it doesn't at least HELP.

Yup, these main thoroughfares between KS and MO make it pretty much unenforceable to prevent people from at a minimum bringing it across those state lines and into the KS side of the metro. If you travel further south with it down I35, I guess it might be a slight concern, but I still doubt it. Now we will see how long Kansas wants to be dumb about this before they realize over 1/3 of the revenue of sales in KC are from Kansas residents. Kansas is probably going to be a long holdout. At least in Iowa, we have more bordering states where it is legal (thanks MO!) so they're not going to hold out forever. The revenue the state is losing here is massive because people aren't just going to one state to get it, they're going all over.

We were one of the first states to legalize gambling and Iowa heads up several of the interstate lotteries. We were also the 3rd state to legalize same-sex marriages.

But weed? Nope, not gonna do that. I tend to think that the problem in Iowa is economic rather than moral. Even though our governor is a social conservative, she's also a big corporatist. I'm sure she's got more than one pharmaceutical lobbyist begging her not to legalize it.

Lots of benefits to having a card, at least in Missouri. I decided not to wait for Missouri to go recreational and haven't regretted it.

I read an article in The Star (gasp! yes I'm one of those people) which mentioned customers getting their full recreational allowance of 3 ounces on their first visit. Estimated cost: $1,200. Sheez, I don't have that yet into the grow rooms and have harvested many. many times that.

Yeah, in general medical is much cheaper than recreational, at least the places I've been. As well, medical has much higher buying limits, especially out of state (IL out of state limits are pretty strict).

When colorado made recreational legal, I remember hearing of checkpoints along state lines. Of course, times are changing and it doesn't have the same stigma as it used to, so it's entirely possible that LE doesn't care as much these days

It's more believable with regards to the KS/CO border because it's in the middle of nowhere, and traffic is much more sparse. The KS/MO border (particularly around the KC metro region) has a million veins between them, with 435 and I70 being large and heavily trafficked just for general commuting. There is just no chance of a checkpoint interfering with people's day to day on those highways; no one would stand for it (and this is for sure discounting anything related to jurisdiction/legality of said checkpoints).

Dispensary in Blue Springs off of Duncan Rd/7hwy was surprisingly cheaper than I thought it would be and much cheaper than what I'd pay on the street.

They were having a deal 1oz flower for $200. It's a mix n match deal since they're sold in 1/8th jars. Multiple strands to choose from.

Before MO went rec legal I was paying $75/qtr from a friend of mine. Hooray.

If it's 600mg we're probably talking about the whole package of gummies, not just one.

I've gotten 10 and 20mg edibles. I usually do two 10's, staggered about an hour. But I also often vape on top of that.

600mg at once is A LOT.

600 each would put you in a deep sleep for a very long time. it is most likey 600 for the bag. If 10 gummies then 60mg each. That will still be insane. Usually the gummies are 5-10mg each.

Yeah, you definitely want to ease into it. 5mg should be fine for you to start. You can expect heavy eyes and your whole body to feel relaxed. Just go easy to start until you figure out what works for you

Lol, a buddy of mine is half-owner of a dispensary here, and two years ago he asked his gf at the time to bake him a b-day cake with this bag of various buds. Apparently there was over 3000mg in the bag. He ate half the cake in less than an hour.

I don't know much about weed anymore, but the guy must have the tolerance of Jeff Spicoli. He actually came out to the bar we were waiting at and played pool, talked shit for three hours or more before going home.

Question: do all the names suggest anything about how weed effects you? Or are they just about flavors/smells/geographic origin?

Better to know the characteristics in the flower that appeals to you.

I like stinky foulness. Like a skunk was hit by a car while a cat was pissing on it. I like Caryophyllene. I don't like piney. I tend to stay away from bright green. 🙃

I am the same way. Unless I hit a strain that makes my eyes red and irritated no one would ever know I am high as ****.

Yeah, I have really dry eyes so they're red most of the time anyway. Nobody ever knows I'm high unless I want them to.

Greenlight took a Debit card, though they had to treat it like an ATM withdrawal and round to the nearest ten, then gave me the remainder in cash back.

The dispensary in Waldo, Fresh Green, was cash only but they had ATMs

Wife and I got (4) 1/8ths of their most potent strains of buds and a container of fast acting gummies. The total came to $200 on the nose.

I know you're being funny but Willie puts his name on independent growers, he doesn't run any grows. So the product varies quite dramatically.

The stuff we got, just the weed, would have been $320 per ounce but it wasn't the cheapest they had

Yeah, Liberty Health has $20 1/8ths every day, and sometimes they have sales wheee you can get them for $15. Obviously they have higher prices stuff as well. But even the $20 ones have like 18-22% thc. $100 a quarter is what we used to pay way back in the day in MO, for the orange and purple buds. Like 3 decades ago. Also I just saw Liberty has 1 gram syringes on sale for $30 today. I’m gonna go grab 6 for my next batch of gummies.

I dropped about $230.00 on three different strains of flower a couple different kinds of gummies and a small chocolate bar. It was weird buying weed in a store on the Plaza in Springfield, MO.

They just need to federally legalize it. So dumb they run businesses with just cash which I'm guessing because the processing companies don't want weed being bought on it. Just legalize it, be done and make your money government

I was told that credit card companies can't accept charges from dispensaries because the transaction would cross state lines which is a federal crime.

I’d rather keep mine medicinal, and much lower priced tbh. Seeing people paying $400 an oz has my brain malfunctioning. Non taxed medical is the way!
