Alex was off on many of his throws. Maclin couldn't catch the ball for awhile there. Andy called a bad game on offense (especially start of 2nd half). Schwartz was owned by Watt and really didn't look to be that great tackle that we expected to be getting in FA. Everyone on offense couldn't keep a hold of the ball. Way too many penalties killed drives and took away a kick return TD. And despite the fact that the defense was put in shitty positions all day long, they played pretty well and the Chiefs were very much in this game until the end.

I agree with everything but the last. The Chiefs were never in the game. We had no way of knowing it at the time, but it was over in the first quarter. The team showed absolutely nothing on offense that would make anybody think they could muster up even a single touchdown. Maybe there was some lingering optimism from last week's fluke comeback or something, but this game was not competitive in any way, shape or form. Texas won playing their style of (boring...) ball and we just rolled over. The score appearing close was a mirage. We had zero chance.

They were in it until Morse ****ed up that snap. From there the Chiefs were on lifesupport and the Texans couldn't yank out the cord until the final FG drive.

If we only had Santos in this game.

I've had the Texans as the next big thing for a while now. Having a running game and another receiver to take pressure off Hopkins is huge. The DL is ready to rape.

I hoped we would escape with a Houdini win, but pictured something involving a late failure within a TD at best.

Come back to how you felt about this game in a month when the Texans have slapped a few more teams around and reconsider.

A lot of us moving the ball late was the opposition bleeding the game right, like the Bolts tried and failed. They play every down full on, and it could have been a bloodbath.

We face them again in the offseason, and we'll need;

HFA,
the defense with Houston raping Osw,
and a couple big STs plays.

No brainer. After that:

Saints - might give up 50

@ Colts - could give up another fiddy (like that playoff game)

vs Jaguars - a WIN?! granted, opponent will once again have a better QB, will rely on luck

@ Panthers - ROFLROFLROFL

You are absolutely right though... there are 14 games left and the team and it is completely possible that they get their shit together so I'm not in a panic. That said... they look like shit right now.

I don't disagree in principle but I also don't think they'll be slapping anybody around with osweiler at quarterback or Bill O'Brien at the reigns. They'll get ugly wins like today, but the quarterback play and the playcalling will keep them from really contending with anyone outside their own division. We should be able to beat a team like that, or at least be competitive on the road.

We have some kind of issue preparing early in the season. This is two years now, that's a trend in my book.

What happened?

Mr. Laz 09-18-2016 03:18 PM

We just weren't ready to play.

Bad passes
Dropped passes
Guys tripping over the turf just as they were about to make a play
Shaky secondary
Dline was MIA
stupid penalties
Bullshit penalties by Refs
Reid's shitty playcalling
Berry looks like he's still pissed about contract

Hey ... at least Dee Ford played decent

While the D did quite the job considering the shitty things the O did, it would be nice to have a 100% Hali and and Houston playing. I hope we see it again, but I have my doubts we will. Hell, we don't get Houston back until November, so that's a lot of time for Hali to suffer another injury. It's just not helpful is all I'm saying.

That shouldn't have been a one possession game considering how badly the Chiefs offense played.

I'll tell you what's really sad for you, son. You upgraded your QB, your RB, and drafted what looks to be a stud WR. Yet, STILL it took the Chiefs shitting the bed worse than they have in 4 years for you to win. By 1 score. Whew.

Let me further reiterate just how terribad it is for you this year. We have a longstanding tradition to immediately ban anyone who shows up after a game to troll that wasn't here during the week. You're still here. And you're going to be for awhile I hope. Because I ain't even ****ed up about you, or your shit team. Good win! That's what you got to do. LMAO Jamjam, lemme ask you a question. When Hill returned that kick at the end of the game did you have flashbacks? Did you instantly remember crying actual real tears back in January? I don't need excuses. I know my team. They didn't show up today at all. On any level. And you couldn't win by more than 7. I feel sorry for you Jamjam. They are kind of a strange franchise because they don't have much history. Only in existence since 2002. Most of it is bad history.

in most of Texas they play 2nd fiddle to the Cowboys and I know football fans in Houston who don't even like them.

I also wonder if old Oilers fans became fans of them or are they Titans fans still??

Jesus. That's a tough deal and as much as it sucks, I understand. There are people in my life that if I lost them at 40 I'd be a disaster for a few days.

Another reason why you can't assume these players will progress or regress equally across a season like robots.

I don't recall posting in this thread until this very moment, b00b.

Care to elaborate?

You asked. . .

Maybe ten wins with the right bounces and some return scores, then if we get a wildcard a playoff exit against a playoff-caliber team with a championship quarterback.

That was a pos-rep, as I enjoyed your apparent frustration. It was quite comical, yes.

Let me explain how a forum works:

"Posting"....is the act of leaving a comment in the thread.

"Adding reputation" does not actually show up in a thread, and is a private exchange between two posters that the thread participants don't have to read.

All good now?

Thanks!
