I want thorn hill to be the badass he appeared to be.

However, I am not worried about it. Also, Devon Key is coming out of nowhere. My biggest question is how that affects a honey badger extension down the line.

If a deal isn't made in the next two weeks, it sure seems like Tyrann is playing out his last year and then moving on.

Maybe they are hoping Key or Thornhill work out and then use the honey badgers money for a Hill extension?

If its a choice, not sure it is, but Veach knows, how best to spend that money. Hill is way more valuable to the team than the Honey Badger.

Even with the cap going up and Mahomes team friendly contract, in the long run, we cant keep every one of our great players.

Yep, we have 1-2 years left in the Mahomes “beginning” era. The players will start to age or move on. That’s a good 5 year run with your original core players. That’s about as good as it gets in the 2021 NFL.

Our current run will last as long as the main core of

Mahomes, Kelce, Hill, Chris Jones, and Matthieu is here.

When we lose enough of those elite pieces the only way we keep rolling is if we have replacements..hard to find that many elite guys at once.

That is not to say we still won't have a chance with Mahomes. It just means we won't be a top 2 favorite and instead a top 5 or 6 team instead.

Very intriguing player coming out of college. He can really take the top off. I'm not sure what his value would be to this team being we already have a couple 4.2 guys.

I'm with you, we could spend that draft capital in areas where we do actually need help. Again, 13 WRs in camp, 4 of which are locks, 9 guys vying for 2 spots, do we need 10?

Word coming out of camp over the last few days is Daurice Fountain is really starting to impress people. His physical make-up and speed could be deadly in this offence if he manages to learn the playbook quickly.

He's 6'4 and ran in the mid 4:40s ...seems like he's working his way into getting reps with the ones and if everything finally clicks with him then watch out.

I saw the Hughes thread got bumped, is he lining up with the starters?

Sounds like Creed and Smith are looking good with the first team OL, what’s Niang looking like? Potential starting RT or backup at both T spots?

From what I can gather:

Hughes has played well, Reek and Mahomes have been on fire, Jones looks good lining up outside at the end position, Niang has looked pretty well, Brown might take a little time at LT adjusting to certain things he didnt have to deal with in Baltimore. Bolton has done well as has UDFA Key playing mostly at SS
