That's kind of a shame. It's not Sapochnik's fault that the last season is impossibly rushed to give it the proper sendoff it deserves, or that people can't get over having to adjust their HDTV's for a battle with zombies that takes place at night. I think he did a fantastic job with the battle, and the score was amazing.
I haven't enjoyed this season as much as I feel I would have if they weren't constrained by time to finish the story, but I also don't feel like we've fallen to Snad Snek territory, either. Those were dry ass episodes.

LMAO Most of season 7 was Jon panicking about the threat the Night King posed. Even spent the last 2 episodes trying to convince Cersei to send help up north, losing a dragon for no good reason in the process.
In the end, it took 1 night and the death count was a handful of main characters and half of the fodder that Daenerys calls her army. Super scary threat, indeed.
