The NFL offices are woke, and so are the sports networks.

It's hard to the Bengals to push harder for finishing the game when you are getting praised repeatedly for you they handled the situation.

FIGHT!

Maybe I'm way off here. I think the Chiefs come out smelling like roses here.

If any Game(s) is/are played on a neutral site, It/They should be called the:

"Because Damar Hamlin" Game(s)...

To me, the impacts are:

Positive - Bills and Ravens
Neutral - Chiefs
Negative - Bengals

My frustration is much more about the nonsensical approach than it is the impact to the Chiefs, specifically.

It’s also about precedent.

Is this the new normal… the NFL making up shit as they go along to accommodate teams that quit?

Not a good look.

Yeah. Agree in full with this.

Whoa, you may be onto something! In addition to being played at STATE FARM!! stadium, it's on February 12, 2023. Basic numerology (stay with me here) says 1+2+2+0+2+3=10. MAHOMES WAS THE 10TH PLAYER SELECTED IN THE DRAFT!!!1! It's an obvious setup.

I think its obvious to all that this plan is more unfair to the Bengals, then us and of course most favorable to the Bills.

Buffalo was about to get their asses kicked by Cincy so no, KC didn't make out well here.

Buffalo is getting the best end of this and Cincy is getting royally hosed.

duncan_idaho 01-06-2023 08:59 AM

Quick perusal of Stadium Wall shows them hating this as well. So there's that, at least.

Of course, I'm sure Bills fans had a different take on what would happen in Cincinnati if the freak occurrence hadn't popped up.

Hammock Parties 01-06-2023 09:00 AM

haha

If the NFL is willing to flip a coin to determine home field (as in CIN-BAL), why not just avoid all this mess and flip a coin to determine the winner of BUF-CIN?

FloridaMan88 01-06-2023 09:02 AM

An $8 billion+ business flipping coins to determine division champions… what a joke.

Hamlin would be heartbroken over that.

Maybe.

The Bengals also just blew a 22-0 lead to the Pats so I'm not sure once they got off script what would have happened.
