It was, like the rest of this season, okay.
I can't believe Andrea couldn't take care of herself. She got free. |

I don't know, I thought season 3 was my favorite so far. Yeah season 2 had a better last couple of episodes, but I thought the first few episodes of this season were the best in the series. It's a shame they had to drag some stuff out, but even some of the character development episodes were good to me.
That said, the finale was lackluster. I think everyone was expecting more after the previews for it last week. Oh well. I'm looking forward to season 4. Breaking Bad coming up a little later. That will keep me entertained for part of the time off. I need to check out Mad Men. Would i like it? |
It felt like just another episode not a finale

They sure hyped up that war for what ended up as a 15 min shootout at the prison. Lol.
|
It's too bad they didn't realize the Woodbury army, Gov included, were all gonna pile up in that room in the prison. Could have set one hell of a trap and ended that whole war real quick lol.

Did this get covered....Carl said "Andrew killed mom...".....What? Must have missed something here...!?

Weak. I watched tonight's show and it is the only full episode of the series I've watched.
Poor for a season finale. The little kid with the hat, okay that might go somewhere but everything else: MEH. Once they got rid of the Well Zombie, the place started going downhill. Kinda like Three's Company once Suzanne Sommers left...er, was forced out. |
Surprising that the Governor is still alive after this season. TWD got kind of stale in the 2nd half during the prolongation of this "war" between the two groups, so I'm not sure how much more the show can take of that. Of course, they could do something a bit different with his character. And now that they've taken him into full-on mass murdering, psychopathic maniac territory, they may have the opportunity to paint him as some kind of looming villainous threat for a while. But his character is defined by his conflict with Rick's group and his story will always lead back to them, so it seems a bit to me to be prolonging the inevitable by not killing him off now. I was kind of hoping for a fresh start in S4 after the staleness and it appears we won't have that now.
Andrea's death was somewhat surprising (especially since she got herself free and just had one Milton zombie to deal with), but the show won't miss her presence. And with the amount of mistakes in judgment she made this year, she was fortunate to even make it that far. What I did find interesting in the episode was Carl essentially taking the Governor's motto of kill or be killed when he shot that other kid. It makes sense, though, considering the amoral world he's now growing up in. If he starts to differ from Rick in that way, that might be a conflict that could be explored in S4. Overall, I'd say I expected more out out of this season. A very good first half but it dropped off significantly in the second half. I suppose it paralleled the finale in that way. |
Yeah, it's like they got to the point where the Governor attacks the prison the first time and realized they were out of plot. So then you get characters doing things that make no sense in order to extend the storyline.
