They're going to roast the RG for not picking up the two blitzers, but I think Allen is going to get roasted too. He never saw that blitz coming and made no attempt to adjust protection.

I do kinda wonder what the RG was doing. He didn't so much as slow down Reid or McDuffie. I'd have understood if the numbers overwhelmed him but he didn't get EITHER guy. It was really odd.

Really does seem like they set protections poorly.

Allen already admitted as such. Misdiagnosed who was coming.

Bottom line is Allen is a really good QB and he needed his defense to get some stops and they couldn't. End of story. Mahomes ran in 2 tds from 10 yards out. That's crap defense and great play calls that they definitely didn't expect.

Can we go back to the Worthy catch.

Yes, it looked like a tie catch.

BUT, there was a penalty on the defense. At the very least, we would have had the ball somewhere around the 30. possible 15 or 20

Correct?

In a weird way, I think Buffalo actually benefited from this sequence. It forced the Chiefs to score quickly. Buffalo had a ton of time left and sure enough they scored a TD to end the half. If that Xavier play was ruled an incomplete pass, the Chiefs have a first down at the 20 yard line. This would allow them to run a bunch of clock and prevent Buffalo from scoring any points at the end of the half.

It probably helped Buffalo. It certainly didn't hurt them. Even if we get stopped, we kick a FG and they DONT score a TD.

Chiefs had god awful clock management this game...Worthy running out of bounds, incomplete passes at the end.

I was saying KC needs to take their time before half...even a FG is better than allowing them time for a TD.

It almost cost them...had Kincaid made that catch.

As a blatant Nick Bolton hater last night was a clear reason as to why they are going to probably keep him and let Trey walk.

He was really good last night. The PD was something we rarely see from him.he was really good as the spy and in run defense. The drive they ran all over us was aimed at Omenihu who got taken to the cleaners during that stretch.

Don’t get me started on Trey Smith. He was good on some of the run pulls but he was struggling all night against Oliver. Creed more than helped him out there

We will see when their run game is struggling and they have to pass block.

Buffalo did both well.

Guess who was key against the Eagles 2 years ago and will be key again?

Badass Nick Bolton.

Look who was wide open on that 4th and 5 play.

Kincaid? He was so wide open a duck thrown in the middle of the field was uncontested by a Chiefs player. He didn't catch the ball. Sucks to suck.

O.city 01-27-2025 11:17 AM

They keep saying Shakir was wide open, but he's never looking that way with what defense they thought they were getting.

Chiefs just won the snap cause they're smart.
