Game 2 of a 16 game season. Manning is a long way from having the rapport he needs with his offense to be effective. Each game is a building process.

Manning's arm strength clearly not where it needs to be. Fluttering passes, low-velocity balls all night. He'll have to either build his arm strength, adjust his game to his arm, or some of both.

This season is about Manning slowly recovering from his layoff and surgeries, staying healthy, and getting in synch with his teammates and vice versa.

Denver defense is clearly improved over last year. Elway is looking more and more like a quality GM.

Defense still has issues in the secondary and on 3rd down... took forever to get a pass rush going last night.

Counting on someone that old regaining arm strength is kind of silly. Denver's D does look a bit improved. They would have had a 40 burger put on them last year.

No question. Long way from being there but noticeably improved DL and secondary play over last year. Ryan is coming into his own as Manning Jr. and it showed last night.

Thinking that people don't gradually rebuild muscle strength after surgical procedures is wishful thinking.
He will never be 27 again however, that's for sure. This is what you get when you take a QB on the tail end of his career. It's a stop gap until you can get a young QBOTF in there.

Wrong. Atlanta knew they couldn't run the ball against Denver. They had to pass the ball if they wanted to move the ball at all.

So is that why they stubbornly stuck to the run the entire 4th quarter even though it wasn't working that well for them? LMAO

They were burning clock, trying to put away a game that should have been put away an hour ago no thanks to the shitty officiating.

Pretty much this. You guys have played two teams that are pretty much trash running the football. The Steelers aren't even a running team anymore and Turner is slow as shit.

2. although I'd rather have Manning than the crap we have at QB, it is dreadfully obvious that his arm strength is gone. Those receivers were open on the picks, but the ball simply took too long to get there and was on an arc. He will be fine throwing short passes, but down the field not so muchl.

Eh, he looked fine on the deep ball to Decker that Knowmo claimed Dunta Robinson "tackled" him on. He doesn't seem to have as much zip to rifle passes in there but he can still make a good 80% of the throws needed. Add that to his general knowledge of the game and that'll be enough to win 8-10 games this season alone.

Don't sleep on the Chargers this year though. This is the first year they're not being talked about as a great team on paper and yada yada. They're flying under the radar and can do some damage.

Also, we're going to get annihilated by the Broncos. Anybody see McGahee running last night? It takes at least 4 guys to bring that ****er down these days. He's going to go off on our bitch ass, arm-tackling, douchebag defense. Throw Manning in there for good measure..

And what worries me most is ****ing Von Miller. That dude is excellently, fantastically, extraordinarily good- to the point it pisses me off. If we don't have a TE helping Winston out on every single play I'm going to be pissed. Then you've got Dumervil on the other side. He was bullrushing the shit out of Sam Baker last night, dropping him in Ryan's lap on several occasions. I hope Daboll can prove his worth scheming for those games...

I'd like to see Del Rio shoot Von with a tranquilizer dart or taze him every time he starts one of those STUPID dances.
You made a tackle, great. Act like you've done it before and expect to do it again.
Having said that I sure like the way he plays.
