Tiller isn’t a great shot blocker, but his length at the 4 will be a great complement to Bidunga (who I predict will average like 3.5 blocks per game next year).

Flory might have a Jeff Withey-like defensive impact if he stayed, he’s that talented and athletic

Jokic is also a disgrace to basketball.

Luka can actually play.

Jokic is just an annoying skilled piece of dog shit.

Btw the scout also praised my knowledge for the game and suggested it wasn’t too late to get into scouting

Another reason you should be listening to my takes and ignoring your own (particularly about Jokić and Dickinson)

Dickinson.

The next Jokic.

You heard it here first.

There were rumors last year of Braden Smith from Purdue looking for more NIL money.

If Self could back up the Brinks truck, that would be a game changer.

He’s gonna be the Jokic of the Serbian league anyway, imagine him with pro level shooters around him

Nailed it. ROFL

This whole year has been exactly that. I am so ready to turn the page.

So, knowing what we know, and how HCBS has struggled so far in the portal -

Who is putting the ball in the basket outside of DP next year?

I could see Flory averaging 10/8, or something similar.

Coit?

Next year is going to be another struggle, but hopefully HCBS let's DP just run the show the entire ****ing year.

Comment spot on regarding Hunter Munster:

He's good, but mainly just because he is a hulking figure. But he's not THAT good. Lots of bad passes/turnovers, missing too many down low, and CONSTANTLY leaving his guy to double team and then his guy gets the easy basket. Raw and undisciplined. Could be so much better.

KC_Connection 03-14-2025 12:03 PM

Dickinson is by far the most skilled offensive player on this team and it isn’t even close. That would hold if he was 6’2 rather than 7’2 too.

While we are at it, we should probably dock Shaq’s NBA career too. He was an absolutely giant human being so how good could he have been really?

In theory they could be pretty good, but they have so many questions marks that it's going to be tough to have them all answered before the season starts. Coit says he's coming back and we know his positives and negatives at least, so he can have a role.

Then you have Jackson, Passmore, and McDowell and those are all ???? Jackson was terrible and is coming off a major injury. McDowell had a bright spot or two his freshman year but obviously needed time to develop. Is he ready? While Passmore seems like a nice kid and I don't want to hate on him, he doesn't look at all ready to contribute anything next year. In big 12 play, he played 51 minutes and had more turnovers(4) than total points (3). Yikes. Then you add in the SF recruit who is a beast physically but apparently raw offensively and I don't think you can guarantee anything out of those guys.

Inside we have Flory, who we all like but probably won't be a consistent post threat to score. Tiller apparently can score but has had troubling injury issues and just had surgery which is never good for a big man. After that all we have is Clemence? Or is he dead? I dont know.

So they probably need a starting PG, another starting guard or wing, and another experienced big man who can score a little bit at least. Then hope some of the freshman and other questions marks come through.

Not gonna lie.

Outside of DP And Flory - the rest of the roster is depressing.

Now I know it's not set in stone, but the portal hasn't been too kind to coach.

Darryn Peterson 17.5 ppg
Elmarko Jackson (think Quinten Grimes junior year at Houston)
Richie Saunders from BYU in portal
Bryson Tiller
Flory Bidunga

NO DICKINSON.
NO NON SCORING PG.
NO PF WHO CANT OFFENSIVE REBOUND.

We are saved.

I have no reason to believe Marko will be a consistent scorer this year, and neither will Tiller.

I do look forward to seeing how much Flory progresses and adds more to his offensive game.

Also, we're not gonna bring up the fact that I (like some others) said he'd be back his sophomore year.

KC_Connection 03-14-2025 01:54 PM

We are losing a top 3 player in NCAA next year but no KJ means any starting lineup KU puts out actually has a chance to succeed as opposed to no chance to succeed. I don’t know that we’ll even be better than this year right now but I’m willing to take my chances.
