So....if you're fasting from dinner to dinner for 24 hours.....then technically you should be able to do that for as many days in a row as you want....right?

You're fasting 24 hours....and then you eat a meal. Or is it not the same because then technically you're not receiving all of the nutrients that you would from eating on a normal day?

I tend to do this, only I eat lunch daily instead of dinner.

Besides playing 2 v. 2 volleyball two or three times a week, Im still not exercising. I don't know why Im being so lazy. 2-3 inches off my waist is the goal

Dude....you aren't the only one.

Honestly.....running and lifting weights really isn't "fun" for me. I do it because I know that I need to. That's why there are some mornings where I just don't get up to go to the gym.

And yeah I know that I'm should find something fun that I like...and do that as exercising. But the only thing that I've found is playing golf and walking with my clubs. The only problem is that I don't have the time for it anymore. When I was single...I could go out every night after work and play....but now that I'm married, have a 3 year old and twins on the way....I don't have the time. I'm just hoping that sometime in the near future....I can get back out there.

I don't know that anyone named lemon pie should be trying to lose weight.

Have you tried racquetball? I can burn over 900 calories in an hour and it’s usually the most fun I have all day. I get a huge adrenaline rush from playing & I’m pretty sure I’m addicted to it. I remember how I liked hitting a great shot during a round of golf. Hitting that shot on a racquetball court is 100 times better.

Okay, lost a major client today.... just ate a plate of condolence nachos, after two condolence tacos, and some condolence white chocolate mouse.

Yeah....total fail.....

Good news? I get to work my chest and triceps tonight.

Everything he says about starvation mode is completely correct. However... he's missing that you don't just go into starvation mode by fasting a few times a week. At least that's my initial reaction to what he says.

Yeah....I've tried it before. I'm not a huge fan...plus the our gym doesn't have a raquetball court.

Got up and went to the gym before work this morning. Lifted, ran a mile, then walked on a 5 incline for about 25 minutes. Good stuff. I realize I'm fasting 16 hours every single day during the week, and fasting 24 hours on the weekend. I still want to do a 24 hour fast 1 day a week at work, but I need to review that eat, stop, eat pdf. I think 16 hours has an effect on insulin and fat burning levels by itself.

Have you realized a difference with the 16 hour fast every day?

The Franchise 05-18-2010 02:59 PM

So you're fasting 16 hours every single day?

For instance.....eating dinner at 6 pm on Monday night....and then not eating again until 10 am the next day?

I'm honestly thinking about doing a week of 24 hour fasts. Eat dinner at 7pm each night and then not eat again until 7pm the next night. I'm wondering if you're going to get the same thing as doing it 2-3 times a week.
