sanders would have made me batty if he played for my team with his 10 yard losses, but as it was he was appointment TV everytime he was playing.

Barry was one of the most entertaining players to watch in the history of sports.

As far as not winning the big one and leaving early he played in ****ing Detroit

This.

Barry was absolutely special.

My favorite player of all time.

Barry juked Rod Woodson out of his ACL in Pittsburgh. #75 in the gif is Tony Casillas he was a pretty good D-lineman in his day for the ATL and 'Boys. Barry made the best defenders of his day look like the Three Stooges trying to tackle him.

During the episode Barry addressed this concern.
Basically said, that even if he had nowhere to run he wouldn't just go down. Any yard he lost wasn't for lack of trying.

I don't understand people's complaint about the negative yards. Barry would get the hand off and have like 5 defenders in his face instantly.

Why so angry? Who cares? He's a big story. And, he's a big story because so many people who love him and so many people who hate him. So, your hate for Tebow is what makes Tebow what he is. I really don't know why people care about Tebow so much one way or the other.

What are your thoughts about Barry's dad? Barry kept saying how his dad was a positive influence on him. But, his dad seemed like a jackass to me. I was conflicted watching that show.

Also, I liked how Barry would hand the ball to the ref after a TD. So did Marcus Allen. I wish more players would do that today.

Barry was one of the best or the best ever. He was a class act. But, after watching that show, it's clear that Barry is an odd guy. He's hard to figure out. He marches to the beat of his own drummer.

I never realized that Bobby Ross implemented the I formation with a fullback in 1997.
This limited Barry to like 77 yards rushing over 2 games which was the worst 2 game stretch in his career. Barry's father told Bobby to stretch the field with the WR's and let Barry run in space.... come to find out this happens and Barry rushes for over 2k yards in the remaining 14 games.

One of the best athletes to ever come out of Wichita. He went to HS with our eldest and was a pretty big deal at North High. :D

I finally got to see this. It's a good show and he's certainly the best running back to ever play the game. The highlights alone are worth the watch. However, he's not an overly compelling subject of a one-hour show. I don't think I learned anything that I didn't already know.

And yeah, his father was kind of a jerk. Maybe he kept Barry humble, but he didn't seem like someone you'd want to hang out with.

I was struck by just how totally unaffected he was/is by his own fame. I think he is really just a completely down-to-earth dude which makes him seem really odd considering that he's probably the best that ever played the position. No ego, zero, which just doesn't seem right.

And the Marcus Allen Football Life show was just amazing.. I forgot just how damn good Marcus was until I watched that show. Money inside the 5, everyone knew what was coming and they just couldn't stop it.
