Black Licorice not Twizzlers. I like the one thats about an inch and a half long hald in wide and likes like should be a piece to an erector set. Jizz City

Black Licorice Jelly Bellies aint a bad substitute.

Seriously, mine I think is kalamata olives - those fat black Greek ones. They really tie a salad together.

Excellent choice. I imagine it's not more popular because people don't go to the trouble of getting it properly crispy.

Perhaps the one dish I properly enjoy WITH ketchup.

Another, great northern beans. Slow cooked with bacon and onion, sprinkle tabasco on a bowl right before consuming with corn bread muffins made with sour cream instead of milk or water.

I bet it tastes better than you'd expect given it's name and that picture of it. Has to. This could be a case study for worst marketing practices of all time.

Gotta definitely have those in a Greek Salad...with authentic Feta--not made from cow's milk.

The British are behind it. They have a way of naming gross...like one having suet ( beef fat ) in a desert.
As well as no so gross foods. British plum pudding has suet in it too.

Perhaps a more appetizing photo of the spotted dick.

Agreed. Throw it on a skillet and it's not bad. Hawaiian food uses it quite a bit. It works well in fried rice and with pineapples.
