This is a money grab...it'll fail for the same reason the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory failed.

You dont remake classic, cult films....ED was what it was because of when it was made...and the limited resources. There is a cheeky DIY charm in that....a big budget will ruin what made the film great.

Bruce Campbell is producing but won't be in it? I guess I'll be considering it but won't go see it.

The last remake was great. I'll watch another one, and another one. Ever since seeing Army of Darkness for the first time as a child late at night on one of those 90s movie channels (can't remember which one) Evil Dead has become part of my soul. I'll watch anything, but preferably with Ash.

Did you watch Ash Vs. the Evil Dead? It was a series on Starz that had Bruce Campbell in it. Like 2015 to 2018. I watched the first season and lost track of it. It was fun...but it was too long. Things like Evil Dead are not meant to be long drawn out series in my opinion.

On a related note, I have a lot of respect for Bruce for not making that prequel to Bubba Ho-tep. I mean, on one hand I would have loved to have seen it, but on the other I have to respect the fact that he didn't want to diminish the original.
