I don't know which is worse, the rinse and repeat recycled crap they've been putting out for years, or the morans who pay for it.

I guess that's what you get when looks are more important than the story.

A bit off topic, but...

Just took my boys to see "Monster House". Damned good movie. I think I enjoyed it as much as they did. There were quite a few scares. Just about perfect for my 8 and 9 year old. It might be a little much for younger children, though.

It's rated PG, not G... and they earned it.

Star Trek TMP: Sucked. Nice visuals. Horrid acting.
Star Trek II: Awesome. Great battle scenes. Ricardo rocked as Khan. Kirstie rocked as Saavik.
Star Trek III: Some good moments, but overall... kinda sucked. New Saavik definitely does NOT rock. Kirk's kid is a puss.
Star Trek IV: Lame premise, but also had it's moments.
Star Trek V: Ghastly.
Star Trek VI: Very good. Great battle scenes. Funky-colored floating blood.
Star Trek Generations: Had its moments. Wasn't bad overall. Best of the odd numbers.
Star Trek First Contact: Best of the bunch, barely beating out II. Data lubes up the Borg queen.
Star Trek Insurrection: Wretched. I actually hated this worse than V.
Star Trek Nemesis: Basically Star Trek II redeux, with Romulans instead of genetic freaks. Was okay, sort of.

I wanted Willem Dafoe to play joker just imo.

He'd be a good one, but probably wouldn't do it after playing the Green Goblin.

Hell, I wish they'd just use Nicholson again.

I think the Joker would be kind of lame if played from a wheelchair.

Of the TNG movies. it's that or First Contact. II for old school, no doubt.

Yeah, when it comes to Star Trek, I'm about as geeked out as you can get without going to conventions.

Nemesis was okay, but you have to admit, the parallels between it and II come early and often - personal vendetta against the captain, sacrifice of the Spock-type character, but a cheesy way back to life for him just in case there's enough interest for a sequel.

And the dunebuggies? C'mon, that was just reeruned. I don't need Tango & Cash moments in my Star Trek. :grr:

That's kind of what I liked about it. Repetition in Star Trek is the equivalent of the Chiefs and 13-3; you know it's going to happen, you know it's going to eventually suck, but you watch anyway.

Although the dune buggies did suck.
