So I guess I am the only Chiefs' fan who is very concerned that Herm retained Gunther?

Pitt Gorilla 08-14-2006 09:50 AM

I don't see how Herm is responsible for Roaf being too hurt to play anymore, Simms and Dalton stinking, and our safeties being here beyond their expiration.

Concerned...after 1 PS game NO.

Personnel moves at 53 man cutdown and little overall improvement YES.

Hog's Gone Fishin 08-14-2006 09:52 AM

Just think, we'll be cuttin guys that will probably be starters for the Jets.

But given how knowledgable KC fans are, I am surprised there isn't more concern about Herm running your team. I know pre-season is only preseas-n but let me tell you that your lax effort the other night is an clear sign of things to come w/ Herm. Your team will seem unprepared and make stupid mistakes and it will be frustrating to the fans. That being said, thhe gets his players ready to play in big games. But for the most part, you will be frustrated. The sooner Herm leaves KC the better b/c he is absolutely awful at developing young talent

I guess we shall see. At least that is where I am now. I was concerned when he was made head coach of the Chiefs.... I couldn't be more concerned at this point. I can only wait and see. However, Herm is not the only concern. The defense still concerns me. The worst DT's in the game and even Herm can't fix that with these guys. So, I won't be blaming him for that.

Oh, my concern about Gunther is based on a lot more than 1 PS game. I don't want to make this into another bash-Gunther rehash. Edwards is the coach, and Gun is the DC. Nothing I can do about it other than root for the Chiefs as usual. Just saying -- I'm very concerned that Gun is simply not up to the job, and wish he hadn't bee retained.

Hey Lester:

What's the consensus forming about Schott Jr.? Is he going to be a good OC?

I'm very concerned. I concerned about Gunther, I'm concerned about Curl.

But for me this is MUCH less about being concerned and more about being SICK AND ****ING TIRED of being patronized by Jets fans with sore vaginas...

chiefsfan1963 08-14-2006 10:05 AM

i was able to see the game last night, and was pleasantly surprised about the potential young talent we've brought in. there's no way any one can determine where this team will be come January. Personally I didn't see many negatives. Given the fact that none of the vets played much and both backup qb's we're hurt as well as hali not playing, herm had an excellent chance to evaluate many of the other young players.

No worries as of yet. Quite optimistic!

Wichita Lineman 08-14-2006 10:14 AM

Ok I've read quite a bit about the team and the game on this site before I mouth off about my thoughts. Because of that I'm going to take a hit for this opinion I know. I think Edwards knew the first game was going to be so much bull that's why he did so many things out of character for a NFL coach. My concern is that this egotistical self promoting so called coach can do what he says he can.Until he proves that he can make this team better then I'm going to remain skeptical that he won't screw up more than he fixes.

Mr. Laz 08-14-2006 10:17 AM

i'm more concerned about the fact that Quarterbacks seem to always end up broken whenever Herm is near.

he better keep his QB-Jinx mojo off of Trent Green!! :cuss:

So you're just so concerned about another AFC team that you felt the need to create an account on another team's board to "warn" us of our impending doom? Is this out of the goodness of your heart?

Dumbass bitter troll..... have a wet-wipe and drag your sandy mangina back to the jets board.... your pity is completely unwarranted and we don't need you or anyone else "helping" us by spewing this sour green koolaid all over our board...

Herm left you guys... get over it already.....

EGG-ZACKLY.

Even if their intentions are 100% sincere, it's quite patronizing.

Eleazar 08-14-2006 11:06 AM

I'm starting to see why Herm would rather be in Kansas City.

Wile_E_Coyote 08-14-2006 11:51 AM

every time the Chiefs lose the Jet fans will show up & if the Chiefs should make a SB under Herm. "You stole a coach for a 4th rounder. Who sucked Tags off"
