So because the road to being a citizen of our (yes, yours and mine) great country is difficult, we should kowtow to those who SNEAKED in here ILLEGALLY and are sucking off of our tax dollars (which are rightfully intended for those who are legally here)? Those who take jobs from my neighbors (who are more than willing to do those low paying jobs for the second income). Please explain your definition of correctness and fairness.

This thread isn't about whether they're wanted or how hard they had to work for it.

The issue is that Illegal Aliens is the absolute correct definition of undocumented workers.

I guess when someone tells me that I alienated them, I should sue them. Or get their radio show pulled from the air.

They honestly want to come here and contribute to our society. Is it really dishonest to break an immoral law? Anyone and everyone should be able to come to this great country, green card or no.

I don't know what you're talking about here.

It's not an immoral law. Immoral would mean that the majority of people disagree with it.

I even agree with your position. I just disagree that Illegal Alien is somehow a derogatory term.

They WANT a better life. Don't you get that? They do the jobs Americans don't want to do.

That alone forgives them breaking some arcane law, IMO.

That's not entirely true, but there is a lot of truth to that.

Really? We are supposed to be a melting pot not the only porta-potty in the field that every one uses.

Morality has nothing to do with the majority opinion.

That's because you're not, right?

I'm not sure what you mean.

Morality has EVERYTHING to do with majority opinion. That's what morals are. Morality is determined by a group. Ethics is what is personal. You might be able to argue that the law is unethical, but you can't say that it's immoral.

No, I'm not. I'm also not an abridged novel, but if I were a 20 page version of Moby Dick, I wouldn't be offended by that label.

It's not my fault that you're a racist.

Read my posts and you will see that your position on illegals is exactly the same as mine.
