That shocked me and my wife. I don't think anyone saw that coming, atleast in that fashion.

The leg bend was pretty brutal. Seemed like Mirko was alright though. Was a sweet KO.

DomerNKC 04-21-2007 10:58 PM

it looked like he put his foot on backward, or he was trying to kick his own ass.

Dang, sounds like i missed the best action of the night when i turned it for SNL.

The best one i watched was the Kongo fight, if that guy learns some ground skills he'll be deadly, he's a great puncher with some awesome knee strikes.

The Arlovski fight was BORING, both guys were playing not to lose.

The Bisping fight was good, he's lucky Elvis didnt pull a win out of his azz.

I'm gonna have to pony up the $$$ for the Liddell/Rampage fight, thats gonna be so incredible.

So much for the Pride guys "dominating" the UFC guys like we've been getting told would happen.

Cro Cop is lucky his leg and head are still attached to his body today.

I NEVER believed that!

I would say that so far it's being shown that the UFC guys are significantly better than the Pride guys.

Yeah, and having watched nearly every UFC and Pride event, I'm extremely surprised at this. Suddenly I'm wondering if Pride didn't manipulate matchups to make their fighters look better than they were.
I really want to see Fedor as a UFC fighter.

On the other hand when UFC fighters have gone to Pride they haven't done terribly well except for Josh Barnett. Consider Chuck Liddell going to fight in Pride in 2003.. Chuck was the UFC LHW Champ at the time and he lost to Rampage. It makes this rematch all that much more exciting.

In the end though, I thought Crocop would walk through the UFC heavyweight division so I'm eating crow.

Maybe the UFC is a more "refined" game, where the fighters have mixed the skills better? I can certainly see where a UFC guy would have a hard time adjusting to a fight inside ropes. It's easier to get stuck in a corner with a square ring. Personally I think the octagonal cage was a stroke of genius for MMA fighting and I really think they need to drop the ropes on the Pride side of the league.

As for Chuck going over and getting beat: "On any given Sunday". If these other UFC/Pride convergence fights have been any indicator then Chuck is going to absolutely f**k that guy up.

Gonzaga knew what to do standing up, in mount, and respectable at the take downs.

He's going to be brutal with some seasoning. His specialty was supposed to be ground fighting and he turned out the lights on Mr. Kickboxing with a kick...
