If you know how NFL contracts work, he's going to sign at least a 7 year contract with some ridiculous number that means nothing...it's all in the guaranteed dollars in the NFL.

Honestly, I really don't know all that much about NFL contracts. I have always loved football, but I've just started paying attention to negotiations and trades in the last few seasons.

Johnson has no reason to hold out and especially will not benefit from holding out. I would think his goal is to keep his numbers as high as he can so he can have leverage when he is ready to be either a UFA or a FA.

ding - we have a winner. I would love to see LJ end a long illustrious career in KC, but I just dont think he sees KC as anything but a stepping stone. If a player decides he doesnt want to be here- there isnt really anything we can do about it... just like with trent.
