Only problem is... We're stuck with McIntosh.
I'd take Barnes to shore up the right side... But I'd rather move McIntosh over and find a franchise LT in the Draft. |

WHF thinks we don't have enough cap room to sign JA?
I'm pretty sure we'ree about 9-12 mil under the cap this year. But, okay.. |
Here's you problem with the CAP.......Eddie Kennison, Ty Law, Patrick Surtain, Kendrell Bell, etc. If you release them their signing bonus's go right into your 2008 CAP. So either sign Jared Allen to a longer term contract (after getting douched by Carl last off season do you think he really wants to deal with Carl) or franchise him and get at least a 8 million dollar CAP hit. So then you can't release players that I mentioned before or their signing bonus go against the 08 CAP. Kinda stuck here Chiefs........best thing would have been to sign him long term last spring instead of playing tough with him and trying to get the lowest dollar.

The kid doesn't know what he's talking about. He's never known that of which he speaks.

No I did research...........you know those guys need to released if your going to rebuild. If you know the salary CAP if you release a player early the rest of their signing bonus goes right into your CAP that year. So moving some of the older players the Chiefs have will hard. Right now the salary CAP will go up around 7 million and the Chiefs are 11 million under for 07. However to release said players, sign FA's and rookies will be very hard.

No I want to see if he wants to hide behind a computer or put action to his words. You see I don't hide.

I don't know anything about Barnes, when's the last time he's had troubles? has he started every game this year? A 2nd seems like a lot unless he is a really good LT
