To all the nay sayers I say this:

When Leonard Davis was available, I and a few others wanted the Chiefs to go after him. Most of you had your usual negative comments, ranging from cynical to downright nasty, describing him as a no good bust. Guess what. The Cowboys signed him; figured out how to use him and sent him to ProBowl. I say if Starks is reasonably priced lets go after him. We have more than one hole in the O-line to try to fit him into.

Brilliant strategy for a team that is rebuilding.

Spend $49M on a guy who is going to turn 30 in Spetember.

A guy who's never been successful without talent around him. He wouldn't have that luxury in KC, just like he didn't have it in Arizona, where interestingly enough, he sucked.

A guy who will be gone by the time this team is any good.

Damn, people are impatient. For the first time in over 20 years, they are trying to build a team the RIGHT way, and people are bitching, wanting them to sign any FA OLmen they can just to fill some holes NOW.

I really think being a backup is his ceiling.

I watched every game. He stunk at LT, he stunk at RT.

The guy is a scab who received some unnecessary hype because he played well against 5th stringers in the World League.

Signing Davis would have been a stupid thing to do. Signing Starks less so, but still dumb. You would have to overpay greatly to have gotten either one.

we only sign Nobodies that are hurt like BJ Sams-so if there are players out there that have missed a few years because of knee problems-they might be in our cross hairs

i think we are all hoping that Herman edwards can change that part.

"Will" suggests Stark whom we may or may not bring in IN THE FUTURE. "Would" would have suggested Davis whom we could have brought in IN THE PAST.
