You're much more likely to be the Colts or the Steelers or the Chargers in how they got QB's than the Pats.

THE WHOLE DRAFT IS A CRAPSHOOT.

For every Peyton Manning, there's Ryan Leaf, Alex Smith, David Carr and Patrick Ramsey.

And if it wasn't for the R1 class of 2004, the numbers would be even worse.

I bet Sanchez from USC becomes a darn good QB.

He may not even be starting next year....I couldn't even for sure tell you he's the best QB at USC and neither can the coaches.

To be frank I just get really tired of people who think a QB has to be perfect to be worth a 1st round pick. "If he's not John Elway I don't want him!" Guess we should wait 15 years for that QB and hope we happen to suck enough to get him.

And the perfect QB doesn't have to be a Top 5 pick.

I forgot they had Mustain as well.

Neither one of you are right and neither one of you are wrong. Maybe this maybe that...it is all WASTED conjecture at this point because OUR opinions do NOT matter AT ALL. Save it for draft day when we can pick apart all the picks we got that we didn't need or want.

No kidding.

I enjoy the debate too much.

I'm a guy that wants Dorsey, then Ellis, then C. Long. I've felt that way for a long time.

However, if you have a chance to draft a franchise QB, you take it. If you swing and whiff, so what, you have to take a shot. If Ryan is there at 5 and the Chiefs pass I really hope he sucks, otherwise I'm gonna not be to happy about that down the road.

The value chart shows the Falcons package to be worth 1510 on the chart, while the 7th overall pick is worth 1500.

Interesting, to say the least.

Could this scenario be why KC has shown so much interest in Ryan? Could it be that they want Atlanta to not take a chance with this and take Ryan at 3, and hopefully drop Dorsey to us at 5?

Or could it be that we are considering drafting Ryan? If you are going to invest in a QB it only makes sense to show a bit of interest in him.

I'd have no problem with that. But I would think if KC REALLY wanted him they wouldn't have sent everyone from the front office to check him out. You'd think if he's really the guy they want they'd keep that a little closer to their chest.

It makes no sense to tip your hand, especially not to the degree the Chiefs were with that dog and pony show they pulled at his BC workout. They're not going to draft him, they probably won't get the chance to begin with.

I actually don't agree with that because the only team that would take him ahead of them is Atlanta, the Chiefs sit in that "what's gonna fall to us spot" so they don't have to smoke screen that much...

There were also two other guy there the Chiefs may have been checking on. Cherilus could be there at the top of round 2, and Silva could be a late round pick that could be a player. Silva's play sort of reminds me of Sanders from the Colts.
