Wear a Royals shirt in STL, or even a college town like Columbia or Springfield, MO, and you'll see what I'm talking about. For the record, its never the old Cards fans. The old-guy Cards fans, who are Cards fans because the Royals didn't exist when they were kids, are almost always great to talk to. It's the younger fans for some reason that are unashamedly moronic. |

Sometimes I wish they'd do away with interleague play, because CHRIST I GET SICK OF HEARING THIS SAME BULLSHIT EVERY fuckING YEAR.

I have two Royals hats I wear here in Springfield and have never had anything said to me. On a side note though, I was in Orlando a couple of weeks ago and saw a guy wearing a Gil Meche t-shirt at Disney World. I about flipped. I don't think the Royals represented very heavily around the world.

I have much more fun pointing out the fact that we stole a first ballot hall of famer out of your back yard. Nice scouting there, fellas.
My problem with the Royals lies exclusively with Herk Robinson's infamous "we have American League fans" garbage when the Royals had a chance to move to the NL and be relevant again. The Cards would've come to KC a few times a year, the Royals could've competed in the NL where the lack of the DH keeps costs a little lower and everyone would be happy. Instead Herk Robinson uttered quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard, David Glass (or whichever idiot in a suit was running the team at the time) clearly bought said nonsense and now the Royals are still in the AL Central getting their heads kicked in and are still as irrelevant as ever. But I'm sure those 'American League' fans don't mind. |

But I don't remember any Cardinal fans that post here that consider the Royals a rival. Or that Derrikinger is the reason we lost in 85. That 85 still matters. |

This coming from a Cards fan: Pujols was not supposed/expected to be this good. The Cards staff passed on him how many rounds? TWELVE! To say we STOLE him out of their backyard is perhaps the most ignorant thing I have heard. I could understand if we got him in the first day of the draft, but we got him in the 13th round!! We took a flier and hit the jackpot... hardly stealing anything. |
