I would hardly call a team that is coming off an Orange Bowl winning season, ranked #16, and about to go 5-1 a shitty team. Yes, they are not an elite team like OU, USC, LSU, or Floriday. That does not mean they are shitty. If you think that then you are just plain reeruned.

BTW, what's up with your team and their choking right now? I thought they usually waited to choke until they are in a bowl game.

My how expectations have changed. Yes, this team is not as good as last year in areas like defense (mostly the pass rush and the young CBs) and special teams. Their passing game is much improved and the running game looks to be back on track. If you can find it somewhere, I would suggest you go back and look at the KU/CU game last year. CU is a very physical team. Last year, we only scored 19 points against them and had to hold off a late drive to get the win.

I remember the game, it was at CU though.

And when I say that, I am mainly talking about the OL and DL. I still think the expectations are too high for this team. Given their lineplay, I don't think they will be nearly competitive as they were last year. Couple the tougher schedule. Damn.

That being said, though, I think Reesing has come a long quite a bit. He can't sit back there and pick teams apart. If he can get a line in front of him next year, he could potentially be really really great. I'm not as down on the CBs as you are. They are not Talib, but I think they are solid. I'm much more concerned about the DLine.

I just don't want anybody to think this team has a chance at a National Championship. We're going to lose to MU. If we MUST lose to MU, those horse****ers better win the whole damned thing.

Ok, well then you and I are not that far off in our views of this year's Jayhawks. I have tempered my expectations since before the season. Still, I never thought they were a national title contender. I just want to get another good bowl game. ;)

BTW, I think Harper and Harris are very solid CBs. The other guys are getting better but they show that they are young at times. The Dline is a weakness, for sure. We don't seem to have anybody that can consistently put pressure on the QB. The Oline has struggled this year, but I think they are looking better and better every week. I don't expect us to beat MU this year, but I would just like to see a competitive game. I think KU is ranked right about where they should be right now.

Jack Harry thinks they are vastly over ranked and he's a KU homer.

That said they haven't done anything yet to lose their ranking

All I know is that KU will get rolled by OU next weekend. I just hope KU can come ou of that game with no injuries. They don't stand a chance.

They have a chance. If their offense is hitting on all cylinders they have a chance. About the same chance the Chiefs had to beat the Broncos. Probably won't happen but it could.

KU doesn't stand a chance really unless OU literally completely fails to show up to play.
