Croyle, welcome to being a career backup.

Croyle, welcome to being a former NFL player.

It's a good thing that Herm pursued a QB in the offseason when it was blatantly obvious to everyone that we had nothing but thirdstring QB's on the roster.

croyle, welcome to your hot deep throating wife leaving you for a real NFL player...like Thigpen, or Huard....

Ugh, I remember feeling this way when Herm was with the Jets. I can't wait until you guys get rid of him. KC is such a respectable franchise, Herm is just destroying it. Teams like OAK deserve Herm, not KC.

Soon fellas, soon he will be gone.......good luck to you guys.

Culpepper wants tripple the going rate to play behind this line & for Herm

Midwest NFL teams aren't ready for a black QB.

jjchieffan 10-19-2008 01:23 PM

Wow. That is so disheartening. I worked late and missed the first half. It looks like he was having a decent start too. 9/10 completions. I would have to agree that we must look in a different direction now. I bet we keep him around as a backup though. IIRC, he is a RFA at the end of this season. Carl will try to get a pick out of him by making an offer. No one will give up the pick, and he will remain a Chief and will compete with whatever QB we draft for a starting spot in camp.

PastorMikH 10-19-2008 01:24 PM

Too bad. The O was looking good with him in. I really didn't think the hit was that bad. As I saw him limping off I was thinking, "you better walk that off and get back in." He didn't. I think a coach should have asked him before walking off the field, "Is this injury bad enough to end your NFL career?"

I finally submit to the movement. I like the ability Croyle brings, but the guy just can't stay healthy. It's time to move on. Sadly, I feel bad about wishing this had happened last week so we could have traded for someone with possible potential instead of being forced to ride out the season.

Naw, I think everybody knows Printers outplayed the other 3 QB's in camp that season. I could not believe they cut him. He's certainly a better option than Tyler Thigpen, and with his legs theres other things you can do with him. To ask him to go to the practice squad and thing bring in Thigpen who is twice as bad as Printers is just a slap in the face. I would of been throwing shit off of Herms desk when I was told I was being cut in camp.

it's sad that an arena league scrub (that is a guy who would be a scrub in the arena league) is someone that chiefs fans shed tears over. He sucks.

Croyle is now just an answer to a trivia question

kcgizmo 10-19-2008 01:30 PM

where is Chris Sims, how come we don't go after him?

Riding out the season is the smart move, IMO.

Some vet bandaid wouldn't solve anything. It's time to clean house from top to bottom. And draft whoever the next regime considers a true franchise QB.
