MOVE ON!

Maybe because chief fans miss the passion and energy Marty brought to our team, he took no sh*t...he didnt care if you had 5 pro-bowls or were just a rookie, you were gonna practice like the rest of them...Marty was the last great chiefs coach. Vermeil was good, but he wasnt a Marty

"He can't get it done" monaker hung on him is mostly unfair. He did'nt fumble in Cleveland, he was'nt the one who did'nt execute in San Diego, he did'nt suffer the concussion or miss the field goal in K.C.,but he did start the wrong QB one year. That being said, I would appreciate having the person with the second most wins in our franchise history, "minding the store" as General Manager. Shows me, he at least has a sincere interest in our success. So crack a book and respect your history, before dismissing it.

QFT!

Martha, thanks for the 90's, now stay the **** away from KC, I never want to relive your coaching tenure again....

Reerun_KC 10-26-2008 09:52 AM

How quickly people forget that Marty is soley responsible for the meltdown of this team in his last couple of years...

Vanover, Morris, Monday Night Meltdown, Rison, the list goes on and on...

Just vote "NO" to Bones, Thugs and Marty...

Tragic.

Also, it was his one playoff game that was *true* bad luck rather than playing not-to-lose football and having "bad luck" at the end of the game.

From reading that article about how Marty regrets leaving, I'd have to put him as the favorite to be the next coach. Marty wants to return, and Carl wants to stay and also salvage his reputation [not possible, really]. They both agree to coexist...I won't be surprised if Bunting is in line to be DC.

[Not saying that this would be a good thing, but I don't think Clark has the balls to burn the place down, but he knows some changes have to be made.

Wow, that would be totally sad.... Really sad.... That would pretty much remove all hope that we would ever become a franchise that would be able to build a Championship team...

But Hey, it keeps mediocrity rolling and butts in the seat. Just like the 90's...

How many times did he take us to the superbowl? Gun? Herm? Dick?

How many times has Carl been the GM of a superbowl franchise?

I cant remember....

If Clark's sense of loyalty guarantees Carl is going to be around here for the stadium renovation season, I'd much rather it be with Marty as HC than Herm.

I want the place burned to the ground, but if that doesn't happen, what are the options? We simply can't go into next season with Herm as coach.

True, True....

Right now the future seems so hopeless, Carl, Herm, Marty, etc....

The ONLY way this fanbase is going to buy back into to this franchise, is to like you said, "burn it down to the ground"...

Carl and Marty provides more of the same, Yes a few more regular season wins, happy fans at arrowhead on sundays... More of the same 20 years of playoff dissappearing acts....

Yep, but he also knew how to adapt, which is a trait that Germ will never acquire. I'm not saying I want Marty back, but his attributes far outweigh the current regime.

What about Jason Garrett as the next HC? Just a thought. We will certainly need some creativity.

Hey dumbass, I lived that shit the same as you.

I don't care. It's the past. Marty failed. Move on.

This is true it seems. The Chiefs as an organization have "kept it in the family" so to speak for a long time. That's why I don't care for Clark Hunt. KC will never wipe the slate clean with Clark in charge.

I think he'll be the next HC in Dallas though.
