I really don't believe the Lions are going to pursue Cassell, unless he becomes an outright FA-they have too many holes to fill, to give up draft picks for players with ONE YEAR on their resume and wasn't even a starter in college. I think Cassell is average at best and certainly not worth giving up first day picks for.

Scott Mitchell springs to mind, as does Matt Schaub. At least he has proven he's not a corpse under center.
With that said, Schaub only brought two seconds and a swap from 8-10. For Cassell to justify going from 1 to 25 and another third, you are talking about 2400 points in value, which would be equivalent to trading 5 early-mid 2nd round draft picks for him.
