wtf? only 18,000?

rockfest last year had 50,000, was in an open lot, was swaying back and forth going apeshit when Stone Temple Pilots played, but no one got hurt. Weiland didn't stop the show, but told everyone to calm the F down after the 2nd song.

It was a music festival.

Snoop Dogg was on at the same time, and he had a crowd just as big on his side.

The problem was that the sides were gated in, so the crowd couldn't get closer but to the sides.

I swear that there were people lined up a half-mile deep, at least.

God now i really want tool to come back

CrazyPhuD 05-15-2009 01:31 PM

Heh who's the tool now?

(sorry had to say it!)

I've pretty much sworn off concerts once they exceeded $100 for tickets before all the other fees. Even for the shitty seats.

Arsonist 05-15-2009 03:36 PM

It would be hard for me to pass up a tool concert reguardless of the price. I mean if they were 150.00 i would be pissed but i would prob still go since i know it would be amazing.

I'm in the pit and they were $80 which I felt was fair. The only acts I've seen that want north of $100 are major acts I wouldn't want to see (Beyonce although wifey wants to see her, Rolling Stones etc)

That's why going in groups is awesome. Everyone pitches in (and everyone gets wasted).

I bought a pair of lawn tickets for the NIN show here at the end of the month. They had a promo which made the tickets $15.32 but there were $28.40 in total fees to buy the damn things. Still ended up being very cheap but it's irritating when the fees are almost double the face value of the tickets.

This is news to me too. They only come out of hiding every 5 years or so. :nosmilie:

I bought 4 tickets to Stevie Wonder today for when he plays at Starlight in KC this summer, and each ticket had a $15 charge added to it. ****ing bullshit.

chasedude 05-15-2009 08:43 PM

Bought ticket to Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Cannibal Corpse.. etc $45 with a 8.95 "convince" fee. I think 20% is a bit high buying through the net and them USPS mailing to me.

Halfcan 05-15-2009 08:54 PM

$542 for Tool??? What dumbfug would pay that???

Concert prices are insane!

Fug tickmaster-I blame the artist for using them.
