In fairness, his monologues at the beginning were typically OK, but that was it.
He was horrible when it wasn't scripted, and when he did have something to work in it was forced. Posted via Mobile Device |
His old radio show actually was pretty good, back around 1998-2000.

I've never heard his radio show - perhaps in that environment, where he (a) isn't seen, and (b) is in control, he is better. But he always struck me as a fish-out-of-water in the booth, intimidated by the surroundings and the jock in the booth (be it Theismann or Jaworski) and compensated for that by being difficult and annoying.
And for the love of God, what was he thinking with that combover? YOU'RE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION, DUMBASS. Either get a wig or shave it off. Jesus. :shake: |
While I'm ecstatic that Kornhole is gone, I'm equally shocked that a rookie analyst got promoted to the best job that fast. I still say Boomer Esiason got screwed.

Oh Yes! Finally Kornheiser is gone.
Couldn't stand him. Always looking for something to turn into "the story" of the game rather than talking about the action down on the field. So much happier they're bringing in a football guy. |

I hope they don't do some stupid thing where they call him Chucky.

I know a lota yas ain't any fan of Theisman. But I liked his work. In fact I liked the old ESPN Sunday night group. Closest to the original MNF team.
