McCoy was able to put a much better percentage (76.7%) while also RUNNING THE BALL A SHIT TON, plus he had no one on his ****ing team. So don't give me that crap about him being a product of the spread. Harrell is a product of the spread. McCoy worked for his numbers, and he will be the best QB out of next years draft regardless of where he's picked.

I think there is almost certainly no question that Harrell's numbers are the product of the system, but McCoy's are as wwell.

However, as I said he brings some intangibles to the table that you don't see from other spread QBs.

I don't know that he'll be the best QB out of the next draft, but I have very little doub that he'll be better than Bradford and TeBow.

Hell we're paying half that for one season.

Yea, that's a big point that I believe is worthy of being brought back up. That's a huge payday for Cassell.

Muslims Love Sanchez's Squooshy Balls?

Instead of our pick... I think i would have rather had Sanchez at 3 and Everette Brown at #34.

yup

NY is a good fit for the kid imho. should have a good defense to protect his early mistakes as well as decent weapons to help move the chains on offense like the also inexperienced Shonn Green to grow with as players.

time will tell who will have the better career:
Cassel and Jackson
- or -
Sanchez and(Mauluaga/Brown/other player available at #34)

Cassel has alot of experience in the Pekins-Ernhart offensive system that KC, NE and Arizona have been running (KC for only 10 games, but Chan learned the offense from its creator as did Haley) and may have been the best option as an immediate, as well as long term upgrade.

IMHO if both were susccessful 15 game starters but one was successful in the NFL and has benefited from far superior NFL coaching as well as exposure to great leaders and what it takes to be a superior one and can be had for a far lesser price, its a no brainer.

Both were gambles and a team that is 2-14 has to factor in immediate upgrade as well as long term into its decision. I feel the right decision was made, but time will ultimatly tell.

should be fun!

The first-round salaries are getting unreal. These guys at the top of the draft walk into camp and get more money than most of the veterans at their position before they've even proved they can play the game. It's crazy (and it's the reason Belichick likes to drop down in the 1st round and rarely takes a high guy... IIRC Richard Seymour was #8 overall...).

Tyson Jackson's agent must be doing backflips. #1 and #5 are signed, with Tyson smack dab in the middle. I'm sure he'd take 34 million by splitting the difference in guaranteed money.

That's about what I was guessing ($32-$35M), but I'm sure Pioli's going to argue that being sandwiched between two QB's skews his real value. Either way... Not good for the Chiefs. If they haggle over the guaranteed money too much Jackson will miss valuable camp time. If they don't...the Chiefs are into him for 30+ LARGE.

Does anyone else picture a Mecca & Sanchez something like this....before he gets blown up that is...

Here's where Pioli gets a chance to shine.

Or look like a giant jackass.

This is why the system needs to be fixed. It is a joke to pay rookies the way they do. There needs to be a cap. Teams who draft in the top of the draft are set back huge when they miss a pick and to a certain extent when the pick works out. The NFL is the king of the mountain and it is hard to criticize the league that looks down on all others. But the money teams have to pay unproven players now is insane.

His real value is less than half that amount, but that's not happening.

We overpaid in term of draft value, and we'll end up overpaying monetarily in terms of positional value as well.

But, hey: PIOLI!
