Vick won't be able to play this week though so that shouldn't be a distraction just yet. If Westbrook plays like he's healthy and has the explosiveness that he brings then I think the Eagles win and they could win big. At 2 1/2 point favorites, I'm going to jump all over them this week. The only thing I can see losing it for me is if Westbrook just doesn't look like his old self since he missed the entire preseason and even then McCoy has looked impressive in the preseason.

I took Carolina as well, but it wasn't because of McNair - hell he doesn't bother me at all, he's been shot dead and never played for either team.

And you typically don't take Carolina out of the gates, however, IF the Eagles are even close to what people keep saying, I bet it takes them a minute to get it together. That place is a bit of a mess with Vick and all the WRs, and the death of the DC does NOT help.....I like D. Williams and Steve Smith against a Philly DEF that's sans Dawkins too.

Week 1 is set up for a lot of heavy favorites. It the dogs can show, there will be a lot of happy bookies.

Meh. They are. But I still think they win. ****ing Carolina. They can beat anybody or lose by 20.

I think Delhomme is getting worn out, Steve Smith is getting old, and Peppers is already old.

If Philly can stop the run, I think they'll score enough points to win.

The dividers might put up more of a fight. :D

I don't know what the hell the Lions are doing starting Stafford. It's not like he had a smooth preseason.

McNabb/Vick shouldn't have any bearing since Vick can't dress until week 3, right?

I actually picked them too. The Chiefs have no pressure, nothing to lose (other than another game), and I think we'll all be surprised at how our defense is able to keep us in the game. If we're around in the 4th, we can do it. Clearly we're the underdogs, but hey you never know.

You're right, but McNabb has seemed a bit pissed about the whole deal (he never came and said he was, he just seemed like it). I thought the whole deal would be a distraction.

I guess if McNabb goes 20 of 25 for 280 yards, 3 TD and 0 INTs he doesn't give the team much need to pick Vick in, even as a gimmick.

So he could use it as motivation? I guess so, could be interesting to watch.

McNabb has put up with tons of crap his entire career in Philly. He's always a professional.
