For their genre of music, I'd put them up against any band in the biz right now. Not just KC.

Kristen described their music as "organic indie pop". Not sure about the meaning but I know they appeal across all ages. We have friends in their 60's and 70's who love their sound as well as young folks. My grandaughter loves to sing along with "Satisfy". It's a hoot! :D

Are you Kristen's dad? If you are I'd like to tell you that you raised some very fine children. I graduated with Pat and he was always one of the nicest guys I knew and from the one time I met Kristen I could see she was the same. Did she have a lot of voice lessons growing up or was it something she was just born with? My brother was in choir with her and said she always had that amazing voice. Her voice reminds me a lot of a young Bjork. It's amazing. I agree with the music appealing to everyone. The Weight of an empty room is the only C.D I own that my mom doesn't mind listening to when I ride along with her. :thumb:

Been a huge Muse fan since Origin of Symmetry. The Resistance isn't their best album, but I think it's much better than Black Holes and Revelations. I actually enjoy the Exogensis_Symphony tracks the most. Wish they would do more OoS stuff. :(

Muse is hit or miss for me. I really liked their album about space. The rest was kinda meh and some of it was really annoying.

Good album. Listened to it at the gym tonight. Will definitely buy when it comes out.

I have only sons - no daughters. But Kristen is like family, as is Drew and Brian too. (Jason [I]is [I]family - my son) All are incredibly gifted talented kids. I listen to their new stuff mostly but still throw "Weight of an Empty Room" on too. Everything they have done, so far, is completely family friendly. We let our grandkids listen.

Thanks for your kind words. I think you will really like the new stuff coming out. Every track could be a single. No fillers. It's really something! :thumb:

I'm nothing like that. I prefer a chainsaw over an ax! And I quit doing stuff like that months ago.

Watching them play live, as big of a cliche as it is, is absoultely incredible. Try to download their Wembley performance, HAARP. I have seen them 4x, twice in KC, once in NYC, and once in Texas. Everytime was as amazing as the last. You have to appreciate the complexity of their music as well. For example, their bassist uses over 100 effects pedals to create his sounds.

I agree. I really like Absolution album. The rest, not so much. I'll give the new album a try though.

I was able to go see them in Tampa last week and they didnt dissapoint. U2's performance was incredible as the stage they have is something spectacular. The HD LCD board decompressed and expanded downward, something I have never seen before. Best production I've encountered. I'm going to Vegas in December to see Muse again, cant ****ing wait!
