I remember that.
I used to work security for concerts and well, errrrrrrr, Broncos and Colorado Buffs games. I did that for five years and I can tell you I never took anyone's liquor unless they were not old enough. The only time I took anything was when some dude had a liter bottle of Jack and I told him politely that I had to take it from him, but that he could pour as much into his paper cup as he wanted. I'll never forget the look of gratitude on his face 'cause he thought I was going to escort him out.
I didn't work the shows and events like the other azzholes. I understood people paid good money to see a show and I gave them the benefit of the doubt every time. Once they crossed that line with me though, it was a different story. It was a lot of fun- got to see NFL games, college football games, and some of the best artists perform- all for free. Scored free booze, women, and all kinds of stories. It was fun most of the time, but when azzholes treated me like shit- then I simply walked them out of the arena, stadium, or whatever venue we were in.
Most of the guys I worked with were azzholes- but a lot of the folks did it for the same reason I did- the love for music and sports. And when you worked for that, it was fun. I suppose it's like the good cop/bad cop thing.
