I would probably incline to say "no".

He's younger and presumably more resistant to injury, right? Maybe faster?

This is such NY media drivenm crap. Sanchez has not exactly lit the place up. Put him on the shitty Chiefs you think he'd do any better? Put Cassel on the Jets with the talent there and he would put up more than 165 yards. I think he showed last year what he could do with a supporting cast.

The thing is no one in their right mind picked the Jets to be 3-0 everyone had them last winning 4 or 5 games so of course Sanchez is getting a ton of play.

That Sanchez is better younger than Cassel is older?

Well, you do know none of them have Tom Brady.

It probably means that in 5 years everyone will talk about the move as a blunder.

The Jets traded their 1st round pick and a couple of players for the rights to Clevelands 1st round pick.

Is it really sad that actually my first thought when I realized that we wouldn't get him was "the guy is a winner of course we wouldn't want him"

But the Chiefs did not have to do that, right? They could have just selected Sanchez and chose not to do so?

Yea pretty much, Sanchez was there at their pick.

But its more the defense than it is Sanchez playing like Dan Marino in 1983. They beat the Patriots 16-9. It wasn't because of Sanchez.

Yes, the Chiefs could have selected him without trading away the #34 pick in the draft. Sanchez was drafted 5th by the Jets.

Its no secret Sanchez is playing well, but he'd be complete ass behind our OL. The Jets also so have a TON more talent at other positions than we currently do.

Mecca 09-28-2009 09:24 PM

So is this always going to be "hey Cassel is on a worse team so we can't compare them" no matter what?
