I was 5 when the cheifs won the superbowl
I enjoyed the hellout of the teams of the '90s but I would like to be a fan when they win it all at least once

This. North Carolina stayed with Dean Smith for 20 years before he won it all. Then he won several.

Winning a Super Bowl is so effen great its worth 7 or 8 lousy seasons around it. I said this when the Patriots finally won it. They could go 4-12 for the next 5 years and I'd still live off the championship.

The Rams sucked for the longest time and got an SB.

Even the 'Bucs got one.

Can you say WTF?

This.

Especially the second part.

Give me a top 5 QB and a top 5 defense and I will be happy.

Bearcat 10-04-2009 07:49 PM

Another downside to the second option is that there's no good conversation about your team, no buzz around town, etc; for most of the decade..... and then when you get good, a ton of dumbshits come out of the woodwork, who don't have a clue about football, don't even know when to yell, etc; and are obnoxious as hell (see: fans of DV's Rams). They would all move onto another team or just stop caring for several years, and you would be stuck again trying to strike up conversation with the 4 other die hard fans.

Philly is a good example but would you really rather have like the rams a SB..then years of suckage or philly knowing every year you have a shot at a ring.
Tough call.

I like the Carl Peterson era of the 1990's. At least I was happy until after the playoffs. Now I have no hope already.
