Also while the Chiefs better draft at least 2 O-linemen in this draft IMO they don't have to do it with their 1st round pick.

It's a disturbing trend (or thought) that the only way for the Chiefs to ever get a good O-line again is to draft them all in the 1st or 2nd round. That's not how good teams do it. Look at where a lot of those guys are drafted.

I can buy spending a 1st on a premiere LT (which we supposedly already have) but other then that? RT is fairly important.... The rest of the scrubs can be filled out in the mid to late rounds and start.

In the 90s, a damn good O-Line and only one playmaker not single ****ing playmaker on offense.

In the Dick years, the best O-Line in the game and only one ****ing playmaker, and not single one on defense.

You can build O-line in the mid rounds.
Teams like the Giants do it every ****ing year.

If you are drafting at the tiop of the draft, you take potential playmakers because you need playmakers to win championships.

But you go ahead and build your O-Line you dumb****.

maybe you should just put

Then again I look at St. Louis who took Jason Smith and they still suck.

LT isn't a concern, IMO.

One major problem is Albert's weight. Grunhard gave an excellent explanation last week. He said D1 tackles need to be playing at 290-310. NFL LTs at 310-320.

Said the footwork of our o-linemen was atrocious...

milkman has some great analysis of this in various threads, too.

Just a cluster**** right now.

Selvie is going to fall he's considered a bit overrated by general public.

Mecca 10-04-2009 10:25 PM

Anyone who wants to give up on Albert after a season and 4 games is reeruned.

milkman 10-04-2009 10:25 PM

I'm going to bed.

When I'm at work tomorrow, I'm sure some dumbass will prove once again he can't count to three, and I will smile, because I'll know that he's still smarter than half the dumbasses around here.

Bill Muir is a horrible OL coach as well. The one Buc fan said he would ruin Albert when he was hired.

BigMeatballDave 10-04-2009 10:27 PM

If they have the #1 overall, I'd trade down and stockpile picks. Is there going to be a stud LT next yr worthy of a #1? I'd be cool with them trading down to 8 and picking a LT or Mays there. I'd move Albert to LG, and Waters to center.

You have more than 1 draft pick it's possible to take Berry and address the line.

What do you do if you Okung sitting there? Possibly one of the best players in the draft at your weakest position?

And like some of you have said this draft isn't very deep at OL but it is deep on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't know it is a tough decision.

How's that working out for us the past 2 years?

Mecca 10-04-2009 10:28 PM

I wouldn't take a LT with a top 10 pick, it's overkill.

Also this idea that the Chiefs can just move down is funny too.

Trade down from #1 overall? No one wants that hot potato.

Nobody is going to trade up. This draft is too deep and the talent doesn't drop. Not to mention there is no QB to cause such a trade.
