Sorry hawkchief, but I don't see Briscoe as a first round WR.

CaliforniaChief 11-23-2009 11:36 AM

Yeah. Keep Chambers around. He makes plays.

Sure, but not as an excuse to ignore upgrading the position via the draft or FA.

This. I say a 2 years contract. He's been a nice surprise. he would've helped the ravens alot

GordonGekko 11-23-2009 11:44 AM

if he keeps producing with 80 + yards a game I don't see how they can't re-sign. too bad we can't pick up a productive LB/OL/S like the way Chambers was brought in

We got lucky. It doesn't happen very often.

Maybe, just maybe our receivers suck so bad that Chambers is showing us how a real WR should play, even one that was just released.

RedThat 11-23-2009 12:16 PM

Yes definately. I'd love to have him back for next year.

The last 3 games have said quite a bit. He's made clutch plays in critical situations, and gave this team a chance to be in every game.

I've always liked him. I remember when he was with the Dolphins he did the exact same thing. This team needs more players like that.

I still think he can play. He's 31, but provides a solid veteran presence. I'd still be open to drafting another WR though? And yes I agree this team should cut Bobby Wade and keep Lance Long.

Are you serious? You'd rather have Briscoe over Alexander? I dont care if your a KU fan or not, that's just stupid.

definitely keep him, sign him to a 2 year deal or something like that. but we still need to draft and/or sign a WR (Danario Alexander)

I would much prefer a burner opposite of Bowe than another big possession WR. We would be much better served with a speedy WR to stretch the field. They are both big WRs, but at this point I don't expect more of either one than being a #3 WR in the NFL.

MMXcalibur 11-23-2009 12:31 PM

He's no Derrick Alexander or Johnnie Morton or Bobby Engram.......but sure, why not.

Mama Hip Rockets 11-23-2009 12:36 PM

yes please.

Agree completely. This would be the perfect year to draft a guy like Maclin or Desean Jackson.

I don't see many burners in this year's draft though, most guys look like the possession type.

DaneMcCloud 11-23-2009 01:29 PM

Definitely re-sign him. He's completely changed the offense and the offensive playcalling since his acquisition.

And who gives a shit about the contract? We're heading into an uncapped year and the Chiefs are ****ing $41 million under the cap.

Lock him up for two years.

Well with all of Matt's deep throws always winding up as jump balls I'll take Alexander...........that is if Brandon Banks is off the board :p
