The foot and a half was on my drive way. It was considerably deeper on the street and at the end of the street. Of course the big boss has a 4 wheel drive and lives in a nice neighborhood where things are plowed. No problems for them.

Well, the whole global warming bit is just about completely played out. Next phase is the "pretend it never happened" phase where we won't hear the phrase again for several years.

I'm guessing with the economy sucking and all the budget cuts that winter road maintenance will not be what it has in the past.
this will probably mean less plowing than usual and less salt/sand treatment amounts as well.

Serious question here and I'm not knocking anyone. But, do people not know how to drive in snow? Or are the road crews spread thin?

In all my life I've never missed work because of snow/weather and the only time school was shut down was because of Mt. St. Helens erupting. And, IIRC, that was for only one day.

This is my second winter here, but from what I gather, the road crews here generally do a bad job. They were spread thin though because of blizzard conditions. They would plow the main streets which would immediately be covered due to blowing snow.

Or how about instead of getting your information from the radio, you actually go take a class or open up a textbook. You thinkining that global warming has something to do with the temperatures in Chicago, pretty much gives away that fact that you're just another uninformed dumbass screaming "MINDLESS LIBERAL IDIOTS!"

Let's talk about how the people who teach the classes are strong-armed into the global warming agenda (teach this or you're fired, teach this or your funding goes away) or how the companies who produce the text books are strong-armed into printing the global warming agenda (add this or we'll buy our text books elsewhere). Let's talk about all the data that is ignored and twisted by these charlatans to clown simple-minded ****s like you into thinking the world's going to end.

Not one of my professors ever said that GB was 100% caused by humans, neither did the textbooks. Then again, that was in 2005. Maybe things have changed since then, but I doubt it.

Personally, I can't fathom how a logical person can say with complete certainty that burning all that fossil fuel has had absolutely no affect on the Earth's climate, but then again, a lot of people have no idea about global patterns.

That is f***ing insane. It's 5 miles to downtown from that point, all highway, after half a f***ing inch of snow. I was driving around last night around 10, and the roads were okay. I was going 40-45 down 169, which is 10-15 under the speed limit, but still, no major issues.

Take it to DC, Chicken Little. There's a lovely thread about climate fraud that you should check out. Enjoy.
