I have no recollection of those days.

You know I love Suh but these are legit questions. Do you trust the current coaching staff will delevope him into a good player? I haven't seen proof of that. Who was the last can't miss D-tackle? He was also coached by a guy in college who knew what he was doing. The same guy who coached Suh :). To be honest the most intriguing Husker on defense is Phillip Dillard. I would like to see him on this linebacking core.

Dillard is 3rd or 4th rounder. He's also going to make the team that drafts him.

They will take the best player for this team. They have spent the entire year trying too teach these clowns the 3-4. They will not change the entire defense just because they picked Suh. Pats and Steelers have won 5 SB's between them recently with the 3-4. None of us should want it changed. Scott will get the players for the 3-4 and when he done it will be KICK ASS!

Thanks Matt Millen.

Unless you are taking a QB, passing on Suh should be a fireable offense.

4 1st round picks on the defensive line would be monumentally stupid.

when did matt millen take a bunch of d-linemen?

I'd like the Chiefs to come away from this draft with Eric Berry and Larry Asante, who had a breakout season.

Hoover 12-21-2009 11:16 AM

If we have Suh and Dorsey at DT, I think I could get 10.5 sacks...

McCoy isn't really that far behind Suh either. Him and Dorsey at DT's would also be sweet.

I get what you are saying and all, but remember this: the Lions would have been more foolish to pass on Calvin Johnson just because of their history with first round receivers...THAT is the point.

I said it toward the beginning of the season, he is the best college player I have seen from any position during my lifetime except for Peyton. You CANT pass on a player like him if he is on the board when you are on the clock.

He will be Reggie White. His defense will win Championships. His presence would let our QB sleep better at night because of how much less will be on his shoulders. He would make Tamba a probowler.

WE JUST GAVE UP 286 YARDS RUSHING :cuss: AT HOME :cuss: TO A ****ING 3RD STRING RB :cuss: FROM A 2 WIN TEAM:cuss:! We NEED a SUH!

I also say it is foolish/misinformed to say that we would have to change to a 4-3 to draft him. We would have to tweak the scheme to a gap penetrating one where the nose is used similarly to how Dallas uses theirs to accommodate for Dorseys strengths. THAT IS BASICALLY WHAT DORSEY WAS DRAFTED FOR. He went so high because he could be in the a gap before the olinemen got set up. THATS WHAT HE WOULD BE DOING. This is why I have mentioned Wade Phillips so much in my thoughts about our possibilities for our DC position. His defense keyed by Dorsey and SUH would definitely be CHAMPIONSHIP calibur!

...SUH Dorsey Jackson
Hali... ___ ....___.... ___
Flowers Carr
Morgan...Page

Add a couple more linebackers and THAT defense is SET for some time to come and will consistently get better and grow together for the next 10 years..Fix the oline and receivers with the rest of FA/draft and we could be MUCH improved next year even with SUH going through rookie pains.

Suh could be the rare type of 3-4 end that can average 7-9 sacks per year and shut down the run to his side almost single-handedly.

As some are saying, he transcends the position.

It's hilarious to think this team could spend 4 top 5 picks on the d line over the course of a decade.

We'll be the new Detroit!

True. Why would they switch back to 4-3?

If we draft Suh I am going to shoot myself.

MahiMike 12-21-2009 12:38 PM

If Suh is there you have to take him and not look back.
