Never seen The Graduate. Never even heard of it as a movie. Never heard that quote, either.

I thought everybody knew that Gone With the Wind line.

Same here. Well, I have heard of The Graduate, but never seen it or heard of that quote.

When Skip Towne first heard Rhett say that at the Cinema, he about shat bricks.

The Graduate is a great movie, one of my favorites. You guys should rent it. I'm fairly certain it stands the test of time.

The American Film Industry also agrees with me. My quote is #1, and hers is a meager #63. I am dominating!

Seen this list before......and enjoyed reading through it....but they blew it omitting "Luke...I am your father"!

There are about 50 on that list not as famous as that line.

And to your poll......not nearly as many people have seen The Graduate as Gone With the Wind.

It's impossible for those two to be on the same playing field.

B may be the most known movie quote in ALL of moviedom.

I'm having problems thinking of another. Even 10 year old kids who have never seen GWTW know that.

Maybe more popular would be "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

I believe you meant to say that your wife is ruh-tarded, as in "Okay, well maybe we should tell that to Rain Man, because he practically bankrupted a casino, and he was a ruh-tard." (as quoted by Alan Garner in "The Hangover", 2009)

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore" is a great quote.

Because if you say it, it means you're somewhere other than Kansas. :D

Show her the poll results and make her give you a BJ.

For the record, I contend that "Hakuna Matata" is the most well known movie quote.

Find me one person who doesn't know this quote.

I believe the rules did not allow animated movies on the list.

Take a poll of people over 50 or 60 and I guarantee you'll get a helluva lot of people who have no idea WTF that is.
