Actually it's funny because the only thing KC has that Omaha doesn't have is two loser professional sports franchises and a lot more people.

That's bullshit. Omaha is underrated and getting better all the time but to act like Omaha is KC's equal as an arts city or a food city is a heaping helping of horseshit.

But seriously, I've been here for 25 years and I love it here. The taxes blow ass, but that's because there's only like 6 people who live here so people get squeezed. It's pretty conservative, but I don't think it's overbearingly so.

I live in Papillion, I do recommend staying out of the city. The mayor is a ****ing idiot.

Omaha Rocks though. It's a good town.

I used to go up to Omaha a fair deal when I was living an hour and 40 minutes away from it (in Maryville). Its absolutely laughable to think that Omaha offers anything close to what Kansas City does. I say that as a person that likes Omaha.

The only drawback to Papillion is that it's so far south of everything else and there's no freeway serving the area. I have no idea what part of town you'll be working in but if it's going to be downtown or midtown you're going to have a rough commute. Do you have any idea where your prospective employer is located?

Stay away from West O. Seriously. Soccer moms are vicious. :D

Any small town on the outskirts of the Big O is a good move.

Papillion is a nice area. Bellevue used to be the asshole of the metro but it's a lot better now. I think we graduated to like a gland or perhaps a nipple.

Pros: Nice part of the country to live

Cons: Gawd Damned Nebraskans

Kansas City North for the most part. KC is more metropoltion that Omaha. But its not a bad city at all.
