Yeah, he's sick until he gets caught trying that cutback BS in an NFL game.

His 172 lb midget ass will be broken in half by week 6,

Yeah but......well......yeah.......

Think Percy Harvin (although smaller). This kid is fast and quick. I expect he will actually end up taking a small number of very effective runs and short passes throughout the year. When I flipped to Mississippi games last year, I would watch because of him. When they lost, it was often because they went away from him. But i do remember a couple games that he just put the team on his back and carried them. Where the winning drive would be ALL McCluster.

Same thing we heard about Sproles and Dante Hall.

I found this post from a Tennessee fan kind of interesting-

"Being an SEC fan I got to see plenty of these picks..Nothing's a sure thing((except Berry)) but all 3 were in more highlight reels than I can count.. I watched Dexter have two 250+ yard games and always thought the defense would kill him out of frustration when they got their hands on him; Trouble is they rarely got their hands on him; There's not really a back to compare him too because his moves and unreal speed are strictly a "Dexter Thing"..Javier is guy thats always around the ball making a play..Any smart SEC team made sure not to punt directly to him unless they had spent much extra special teams preparing."

Look, I know he's fast and came hit the "home run" - at least he could in college.

He's also small, and light and not someone you spend a second round pick on.

Harvin is 5'10 and just under 200lbs.

Dexter from the lollipop guild is 3 inches shorter and 30 lbs lighter.

I watched him play a lot last year and regardless of size this dude is one hell of a football player. I hope he puts on a little more weight and I wish he was a little bigger but make no mistake about it, if he stays healthy we'll all end up loving him.

The one stat that sticks out from his college career is that he had 0 zero fumbles.

I hope you're right....I really do..

But I feel like I've seen this song and dance before with Dante Hall, and I've seen enough dump passes to a midget that go for 2 yards to last a lifetime.

i remember when we took Charles, and people were bitching back then, they arent bitching now. I have a feeling it will be the same deal with McCluster

No doubt. We were the Ole Miss McClusters last year. If Snead was just one half better than he actually was, I think Ole Miss would have been a BCS team.

People always think lighter guys will get killed. It just isn't so. Some guys have a knack for never taking the big hit. Marvin Harrison was never more than 168-175 pounds and until his knee gave way was super reliable. Same for Isaac Bruce. Then on the other hand, some big guys are injured a LOT because they don't know how to avoid contact. It's not about weight as much as it is about taking all those big shots. Some guys just never take em. We all remember Ed McCaffery. He took a big shot on every play for some reason. He just never knew how to avoid those shots. Dexter appears to know how to avoid them as well. At least at the college level.

I was pissed with this pick, but I'm beginning to warm up to the idea.
