Might as well get the hell out of Wichita. The writing is on the wall.

I absolutely love North Carolina....my GF lives in Durham, and Asheville is one of my favorite places in the world.
|
Spent 3 years at Camp Lejeune. Don't have a lot of amazing memories due to my ex-wife but it's a nice state, no doubt about that. I'd live there again.

Used to love the Carolinas when I was trucking down the seaboard in route to Florida.
Charlotte is a wicked city. :thumb: :thumb: |

Good for you. My wife's job has an office north of Durham, and we wanted to be relocated there for a long time because it's beautiful and our family is on the east coast. We really wanted to be there. We waited for a while for an opening there, and it never came, so we took an opportunity to move to the Dallas area in January. We just found out a week ago that the NC location now has an opening. That's the way it goes, I guess. I like that Research Triangle area a lot.

We love the outer banks of NC. I looked for jobs out there after my layoff a couple of years ago. I figured that if I couldn't get something close to KC, I'd go to an area we loved.
We hope to vacation out that way again in the next couple of years if we can continue to get our finances/lives in order. |
Good for you Jeff, best of luck in your new gig!

Maybe we should make a thread?? |
North Carolina has nice parts, but the most of the major places are dumps. Raleigh, Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greenboro are all dumps. Not to mention is has as much asphalt as Texas
