I think Mizzou will beat aTm, but lose one or both to OU/NU. I like Gary Pinkel, but I don't subscribe to the oft-used "Hate Pinkel? It was terrible before he got here!!" philosophy of some Missourians. Fact is, Missouri has the talent to play better than it does. Dave Yost will either have to mature or improve, or this team's in trouble. Why? Because Pinkel, God love 'im, is far too committed to his coaching "family". He doesn't fire people-- hell, even Eburflus found a job in the pros instead of being fired. I just don't think Pinkel wants to fire anyone because he doesn't want to be the bad guy. Missouri should win the Big 12 once a decade. Period. That sounds paltry and insulting, but they haven't done it! I'm a Mizzou guy through and through, but I like Mike Anderson in three years tenure much more than I do Pinkel in ten.

I don't know what to make of either team. Oklahoma or Texas so far this year. Oklahoma's play is streaky. And they lose focus a lot.
Texas I almost feel sorry for. Almost. Their wandering lost in the wilderness at the moment. I read that they were in the top 25 since Oct 2000 and after today that is history. Must be a epic meltdown in Texas today after everyone wakes up with hangovers after pounding Lonestar beer to drown their sorrows. :D

FAIL.

Henry Josey...remember that name. Kid is turbo fast...father used to hold the U.S. 100 meter record. Josey is faster than any MU RB I've ever seen play and that goes back 45 years of going to games.

TJ Moe has more than met expectations, and almost single handedly pulled MU's bacon out of the fire against SDSU. He has made more of an impact at this point of his career than did Franklin or Alexander...no mortal can compare to Maclin.

Egnew has been excellent at TE, and is extremely athletic. He compares very favorably to Rucker or Coffman, and projects better at the next level than either of the other two.

MU's spread isn't perfectly suited to Gabbert the way it was for Daniel. However, from what I saw of the Whorns yesterday, MU could definitely beat them this year. We'll see how things go with OU in a few weeks in Columbia.

The winner will win the Big 12...as usual.

OU up by 7 after opening drive.

The Huskers would like to have a word with you.

You can fantasize about projections all you want. I'm talking about right now, in 2010. Get back to me when Josey has more than 10 carries in a game.

The Big 12 is down this year, but the Big 10 is down every year. Another shit showing by OSU against a team that Missouri beat by 10. The PAC 10 is good this year despite USC sllipping and the SEC as always is the best conference.

OU moves ahead of NU in the AP poll.

The issue will be decided in the B12 championship game. That is, if neither team stumbles along the way.

We'll see if they are better than UT next week. Hope NEB can pull it off. Then NEB-OU head-to-head will happen.

Huskers have a pretty tough 4 game stretch starting Thursday. KState/Texas/ Ok St./ Mizzou. They get through that I'll start to breath a little easier.
October hasn't been kind to the Huskers in the last 6-7 years. :shake:
