I've really learned to mellow out quite a bit.

New TV's were just getting too darned expensive.

Consider the advice of Colin Cowherd. It's called a victory tax. Bet against your favorite team every week. Then, when your team wins, you enjoy victory. When your team loses, you win money and it softens the blow.

I don't feel the need to do this myself, but I thought it was interesting.

when I was a teenager, I would throw fits when the chiefs lost, break stuff and yell at the top of my lungs. Now, I might yell a bit here and there, but I haven't lost control in 3 or 4 years at least. I don't think it's because I just became accustomed to losing, I had a serious bad temper up until I was about 27 or so. Getting in bar fights, causing problems at work, breaking stuff, got in trouble for road rage, getting in severe drunk rages. I have learned to control my temper and haven't had a rage moment in about 3 years. Including while I watch my sports teams. I'll yell at the TV a little bit, but I don't go crazy anymore.

That's something that bandwagon fans will never understand. That being said it's important to have other passions and things going on in your life to balance things out.

I've been trying very hard to be a positive sports fan, especially in public. It's a process.

Boy this is me in a nutshell. After breaking numerous things around the house, and literally feeling like I was in a streetfight on Monday mornings, I decided that if I was going to watch KC football, it had to be a more stress-less event. I still yell, and I was pretty fired up after the Houston loss....But when the game is over...It's over. I am NOT going to fall back into the trap of letting a KC loss ruin my week or even my Sunday night. It just isn't worth it to me.

I still love the Chiefs and yell loud for a win and a loss. But when it's over it's over.
