The Chiefs wouldn't have a problem replacing Cassel. All they need to do is go to any outhouse, scoop out all the that blue and brown crap mixture, and pour it into a uniform.

Can anyone explain how on Earth it wouldn't count? When you think about it, it's already kind of absurd to get wrapped up in the accomplishments of other people (The Chiefs players). Does it make less sense to take pride and excitement from the accomplishments of a replacement batch?
If they're players hired by the Chiefs to play football then they would be every bit the Superbowl champions as any other year. What's the difference? |
I don't think it would count, not professional players. We could say we won the replacement bowl. It wouldn't be a super bowl though.

But most of them will be players that have already played professionally on some level elsewhere. |
I wonder how that would effect fantasy football? I can just see the addicts studying up on all the replacements. "Oh man, I only got 22 pts from McGillicutty!!!!!!!"

I couldnt really get into 'replacement football'.

Well imagine if a team was so devastated by injuries that they had to sign a ton of FA's off the street; like, Rohan Davey was playing QB, throwing to Kevin Curtis and Freddie Mitchell, handing the ball off to a recently paroled Maurice Clarett. If THEY won the Super Bowl, it'd still count. In fact, it'd be more impressive.
