But not this year. Hali and our secondary will make Sanchez shit his pants on a whole new level. That kid is ****ed when he sees us. The Brandons and Berry will be on fire and Hali in such a rythm he should probably just stay home. And we have more than Bowe this year. Not to mention Charles. Jamaal ****ing Charles. That guy.

You need more elite talent on your offense to face off against the aberration that is the Jets defense. Charles is an excellent first step, but either Bowe or Baldwin need to elevate to the next level, Albert needs to clamp down the left side like the franchise LT he could be, or Cassel needs to have the game of his life.

Because you can't just do business as usual against this team. They are the best defense in the NFL, and perhaps the best the league's seen in a few years.

We could have that. Cassel still has a ways to go. Bowe hasn't peaked yet. Baldwin's potential is sky high. But we need time for it all to develop.

The Jets offense will be grounded against our excellent pass defense, but their run game will give us fits in the second half. It's a very, very tough run game and that's our weakness because we lack experience and true depth on the DL.

Now, we could have that special kind of depth, and be loaded with talent. We have the players with potential for it. But we need time for it all to develop.

As of now, we stand no chance against Gang Green.

Well, then it's a good thing al the tough games are late in the year once we've already found our footing. I think we'll fare better than expected.

I'm just excited by the fact that one can reasonably expect this team to contend with the NFL's best. If you had said that 3 years ago, everyone would have thought you were crazy.

Possible. The game will stay close because the Jets won't actually get good yardage until the second half. (We should totally dig this thread up after the game to see how accurate our predictions are.)

The good news is, as you say, the experience of the previous games so far. Very important, and I think we've got better depth at nose and at the end positions. Especially the end positions, with a pumped up Gilberry, Allen Bailey, and my favorite UDFA, Brandon Bair.

The nose position is going to be troublesome, just because Gregg will probably be useless at this time of the year. I suspect we will be giving a ton of snaps to Powe at this point, and he's going to suck for a while before he gets any good.

This is a good post. I guess we'll see.

Bills -- 90% Chiefs win
@Lions -- 40% Chiefs win
@Chargers -- 50% Chiefs win
Vikings -- 60% Chiefs win
@Colts -- 30% Chiefs win
bye
@Raiders -- 55% Chiefs win
Chargers -- 25% Chiefs win
Dolphins -- 75% Chiefs win
Broncos -- 90% Chiefs win
@Patriots -- 10% Chiefs win
Steelers -- 20% Chiefs win
@Bears -- 35% Chiefs win
@Jets -- 1% Chiefs win
Packers -- 30% Chiefs win
Raiders -- 60% Chiefs win
@Broncos -- 60% Chiefs win

So if the Chiefs play up to my expectations, that's seven games they should win, and a 50/50 game. If they can get an upset here or there, that lands them a good 9-7 season.

The Bears game is too low. That team isn't going to win 8 games this year I'll bet.

|Zach| 08-03-2011 03:11 AM

I think in the NFL any % chances < 20% or > 80% are bogus. The line between winning and losing is simply too thin.

This thread is hilarious.
